The Zevenwacht Cabernet Sauvignon has a very aromatic bouquet of blackcurrants and blackberries typical of the grape variety, a very elegant and spicy taste, soft and long-lasting on the finish.

Serve this wine with lamb with notes of rosemary in a delicately spicy, strong sauce, rosemary potatoes and ratatouille of eggplants and zucchinis.

Das Weingut Zevenwacht liegt an der Stellenbosch Wine Route, in der südafrikanischen Weinregion Stellenbosch. Die Ursprünge des Weingutes reichen weit in die Geschichte Südafrikas zurück:

Im 17. Jahrhundert gründete der Weinfarmer Jean Le Roux das Weingut ?Langverwacht?. Im Jahre 1798 übernahm Pieter de Waal das Weingut. Später ging auch das Nachbarweingut ?Zevenfotein? in seinen Besitz über und beide Weingüter wurden verschmolzen zu ?Zevenwacht?.

Heute werden auf ca. 200 Hektar des insgesamt 450 Hektar umfassenden Besitzes Trauben angebaut. Neben dem Weinbau betreibt Zevenwacht eine eigene Käserei und engagiert sich touristisch.
