Thelema Mountain White is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. It displays aromas of ripe peaches, golden delicious apples and has a long creamy finish.

The wine is particularly good with seafood. You can also enjoy it with flavourful chicken dishes.

Gyles Webb bought Thelema, a former fruit farm, in 1983 with the help of his wife’s family. Fruit orchards were pulled out and vines were planted. The first wines under the Thelema label were released in 1988. Soon it became one of the most sought-after wine estates in South Africa.

The Buena Vista Chardonnay Carneros is a Chardonnay produced in the Burgundy style and comes from the wine-growing region of Carneros located north of Sonoma, California. All of the wine matured in wooden casks. Subsequently, it was aged for 12 months in French and Hungarian oak casks, of which 25% were new French oak barrels. The Buena Vista Chardonnay Carneros is a beautiful honey yellow in the glass and is redolent of very sweet apples, marzipan and peach blossoms, underpinned by notes of pears and lemon, complemented by nuances of vanilla and spices. The medium-bodied wine bathes the palate with a pleasing balance. A clear, fine acidity gives the Buena Vista Chardonnay Carneros a wonderful finish. We recommend enjoying this excellent Chardonnay from California with fish, white meat with butter or cream sauce or ripe cheeses.

Beautifully clear with a distinctive green tinge. Hints of gooseberries, crushed nettle and grapefruit with lively acidity.Grapes were harvested early in the morning. After hand sorting the grapes, 6 hours skin contact was allowed at 10°C. The grapes were gently pressed and only free run juice was used to settle overnight. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature at 12.5°C. The wine spent 6 months on its lees before blending.Enjoy now or within 3-4 years of harvest.Serve with Mediterranean tomato based pasta dishes or lemon based roast chicken.
