Dieser südafrikanische Blend aus Syrah (Shiraz) und Grenache duftet verführerisch nach Brombeeren und Kirschen. Dazu kommen feine Nuancen von Lakritz und eine feine Würze, die das Bouquet des Overhex The Mooring Syrah Grenache abrunden.

Am Gaumen ist der rubinrote Wein aus Südafrika trocken und samtig, mit gut integrierten, weichen Tanninen. Die Fruchtintensität - vor allem Aromen von Kirsche sind prägend - und die feinen Holztöne ergeben ein angenehmes Zusammenspiel. Der The Mooring Syrah Grenache von Overhex klingt noch länger nach.

The Mooring heißt übersetzt „Anlegestelle“. Die Etiketten dieser Wein-Linie zieren Schiffe, die sich durch das aufgewühlte Meer am Kap der guten Hoffnung kämpfen, aber den Kampf gegen die Wellen verloren.

A South African taste experience of intense, rich coffee and chocolate aromas with nuances of ripe mulberries, plums and cherries.This dry red wine is also the perfect accompaniment to food. It pairs very well with dark meat, creamy casseroles and even intense desserts. Also a great accompaniment to blue cheese or Belgian chocolate. Vinified ready to drink from the start for immediate enjoyment. We recommend 18 °C as the ideal drinking temperature.The Barista Pinotage from the Val De Vie vineyard is made from 100% Pinotage grapes from the Robertson region. The grapes were picked at optimum ripeness in mid-February and divided into different batches and treated in different ways.Certain batches were treated by short heating to optimize color and then returned to the skins for alcoholic fermentation. Other batches were pasteurized and immediately fermented on oak to achieve the dark, rich coffee flavors. Still other batches were fermented conventionally on the skins and pumped over several times during alcoholic fermentation and racked into French oak to complete fermentation. All batches were stabilized by malolactic fermentation in French oak.

The Beyerskloof Synergy is the epitome of Cape wines. As one of the first of this type in South Africa, it unites the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruitiness of Pinotage and the softness of Merlot. A small percentage of Shiraz, Cinsault and Pinot Noir gives the Beyerskloof Synergy its spice and minerality. It matured for 14 months in first- (10%), second- and third-fill French oak casks.The Beyerskloof Synergy Cape Blend is a deep red in the glass, with a slightly shimmering ruby-red rim. Its bouquet offers extremely intense notes of black fruit. On the palate, the wine is juicy, soft and full-bodied, recalling sweet aromas of cedar, cherries and lots of black fruit. The beautifully integrated tannins wonderfully support the Synergy Cape blend’s balance and complexity. Temperature was maintained at 25-28°C. Pump-overs were conducted 4 times a day until fermented dry. The wine was matured for 13 months in French oak, and then bottled with a screw cap.
