Dieser südafrikanische Blend aus Syrah (Shiraz) und Grenache duftet verführerisch nach Brombeeren und Kirschen. Dazu kommen feine Nuancen von Lakritz und eine feine Würze, die das Bouquet des Overhex The Mooring Syrah Grenache abrunden.

Am Gaumen ist der rubinrote Wein aus Südafrika trocken und samtig, mit gut integrierten, weichen Tanninen. Die Fruchtintensität - vor allem Aromen von Kirsche sind prägend - und die feinen Holztöne ergeben ein angenehmes Zusammenspiel. Der The Mooring Syrah Grenache von Overhex klingt noch länger nach.

The Mooring heißt übersetzt „Anlegestelle“. Die Etiketten dieser Wein-Linie zieren Schiffe, die sich durch das aufgewühlte Meer am Kap der guten Hoffnung kämpfen, aber den Kampf gegen die Wellen verloren.

A South African taste experience of intense, rich coffee and chocolate aromas with nuances of ripe mulberries, plums and cherries.This dry red wine is also the perfect accompaniment to food. It pairs very well with dark meat, creamy casseroles and even intense desserts. Also a great accompaniment to blue cheese or Belgian chocolate. Vinified ready to drink from the start for immediate enjoyment. We recommend 18 °C as the ideal drinking temperature.The Barista Pinotage from the Val De Vie vineyard is made from 100% Pinotage grapes from the Robertson region. The grapes were picked at optimum ripeness in mid-February and divided into different batches and treated in different ways.Certain batches were treated by short heating to optimize color and then returned to the skins for alcoholic fermentation. Other batches were pasteurized and immediately fermented on oak to achieve the dark, rich coffee flavors. Still other batches were fermented conventionally on the skins and pumped over several times during alcoholic fermentation and racked into French oak to complete fermentation. All batches were stabilized by malolactic fermentation in French oak.

The Beyerskloof Synergy is a Cape blend like no other. As one of the first of its kind in South Africa, it combines the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the fruitiness of Pinotage and the softness of Merlot. A small proportion of Shiraz gives the red wine its spice and minerality. The wine matured for 14 months in first (10%), second and third fill French oak barrels.The color of the Beyerskloof Synergy Cape Blend is dark red and slightly shiny ruby red at the edges. The bouquet is almost effervescently intense of black fruits. The mouthfeel is juicy, soft and full-bodied. It is reminiscent of sweet cedar wood aromas, cherry and lots of black fruit. The wonderfully integrated tannins beautifully support the balance and complexity of the Synergy Cape blend. The aftertaste is pleasantly soft and well-rounded.Try this Cape Blend with game dishes, oxtail or leg of lamb.
