La Bri Double Door Chardonnay Viognier is a white wine with a style all of its own, created from a combination of grapes from the estate and carefully selected fruit from neighboring farms. This creative blend gives the wines a special individuality and depth of character.

The nose and palate are dominated by intense aromas of ripe peaches and juicy citrus fruits. The fruity sweetness is perfectly balanced by a striking, dry acidity, so that the wine remains bone-dry despite its opulent fruitiness.

The Chardonnay grapes were fermented in 300-liter French oak barrels, which gives the wine a subtle woody note and a velvety texture. The Viognier was matured separately in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fresh, fruity characteristics. After fermentation, the two components merged and matured together for 12 months, creating a harmonious complexity and depth.

La Bri Double Door Chardonnay Viognier is ideal as an accompaniment to light fish dishes, seafood, roast poultry or Mediterranean dishes with fresh herbs. Vegetarian dishes with creamy sauces or Asian-inspired flavors also benefit from the fine balance of freshness and structure.

Das Boutique-Weingut La Bri liegt eingebettet in das historische Franschhoek-Tal – eine der ältesten und charmantesten Weinregionen Südafrikas. Gegründet im 17. Jahrhundert, verbindet La Bri heute reiche Tradition mit modernem Weinhandwerk. Der Name „La Bri“ stammt vom französischen Wort „l’abri“, was „Zuflucht“ bedeutet – eine Anspielung auf die hugenottische Geschichte der Region.

La Bri steht für charaktervolle, handgefertigte Weine mit unverwechselbarem Ausdruck des Terroirs. Die Reben gedeihen auf sonnenverwöhnten Hanglagen mit fruchtbaren, gut drainierten Böden – ideale Bedingungen für Rebsorten wie Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon sowie Chenin Blanc und Chardonnay. La Bri Chardonnay is an expressive, carefully vinified white wine from Franschhoek that combines classic Chardonnay characteristics with South African radiance. With aromas of white pear, lime and a creamy, finely balanced palate, this wine offers drinking pleasure at a high level - carried by a crisp acidity and a playful, sweet and sour finish.The grapes were harvested by hand in the first week of February and cooled overnight to preserve freshness and fruit. After whole cluster pressing, the must was left to rest before the clear juice was transferred to a selection of high quality French oak barrels of 300 and 600 liters (39% of which were new).The wine fermented partly spontaneously, partly with selected yeasts directly in the wood. It then matured for a total of 12 months on the fine lees, giving it its creamy structure and fine complexity.In the glass, La Bri Chardonnay is animatingly fresh, with bright fruit notes, a hint of flowers and delicate wood. The "Serie A" line - short for "Serie Argentina" - is dedicated to Argentina's most important grape varieties and expresses their origin from selected vineyards along the Andes. With its clear style and excellent value for money, the Zuccardi Serie A Chardonnay is a convincing representative of modern Argentinian white wines.The Chardonnay has a bright, greenish-yellow hue in the glass and delights with aromas of pineapple, white peach, apricot and citrus fruit, complemented by fine floral and subtly spicy nuances. The grapes for the Lanzerac Chardonnay come from the estate’s various vineyards, of which the oldest are more than 20 years old. The blending of the grapes from the different vineyards has a positive impact on the wines’ complexity. The yield is less than 5 tons per hectare (1 hectare = approx. 2.47 acres). In order to only pick healthy and fully ripe grapes, the harvest was carried out by hand. Subsequently, the grapes were again selected by hand in the cellar. After cutting, the grapes were cooled down to 59 °F and pressed.The wine was fermented in barrels, of which 70% were 300-litre oak casks and 30% were stainless steel tanks. After 9 months, the two batches were blended. The Lanzerac Chardonnay is full-bodied and distinctive, offering aromas of citrus, ginger, vanilla and clover on the nose. On the palate, it shows a noticeable balance between fruit, acidity and softness. The finish is creamy and long-lasting. Thanks to its wonderful complexity, the Lanzerac Chardonnay goes beautifully with smoked salmon, sea bass or paella with seafood.
