La Bri Viognier is a rare white wine from Franschhoek in South Africa that delights with its elegant balance of freshness, richness and aromatic depth. Aromas of ripe peach, lychee and a hint of fine oak spice characterize the fragrant bouquet. On the palate, it impresses with restrained finesse, lively acidity and a silky texture - a Viognier that shows all its class.

The grapes were selected by hand from just nine rows of vines to ensure the highest quality. After cold storage overnight, the grapes were pressed whole. The must was transferred to a 600-liter barrel made of second-fill French oak and matured there for 12 months to develop depth and complexity.

La Bri Viognier is not a loud aroma bomber, but a restrained, stylish white wine with precision and character. Exotic fruit meets structure and freshness - ideal for connoisseurs who appreciate subtle elegance.

The Ixia viridiflora, a rare Cape flower with a bright green color, adorns the label and symbolizes the uniqueness and rarity of this Viognier - a wine like the plant: extraordinary, sensitive and rewarding.

Perfect with Asian dishes with a slight spiciness, chicken fricassee with apricots, goat's cheese or grilled peach with ricotta.

Das Boutique-Weingut La Bri liegt eingebettet in das historische Franschhoek-Tal – eine der ältesten und charmantesten Weinregionen Südafrikas. Gegründet im 17. Jahrhundert, verbindet La Bri heute reiche Tradition mit modernem Weinhandwerk. Der Name „La Bri“ stammt vom französischen Wort „l’abri“, was „Zuflucht“ bedeutet – eine Anspielung auf die hugenottische Geschichte der Region.

La Bri steht für charaktervolle, handgefertigte Weine mit unverwechselbarem Ausdruck des Terroirs. Die Reben gedeihen auf sonnenverwöhnten Hanglagen mit fruchtbaren, gut drainierten Böden – ideale Bedingungen für Rebsorten wie Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon sowie Chenin Blanc und Chardonnay. Der La Bri Double Door Chardonnay Viognier ist ein Weißwein mit einem ganz eigenen Stil, entstanden aus der Kombination von Trauben vom Weingut und sorgfältig ausgewählten Früchten benachbarter Farmen. Diese kreative Mischung verleiht den Weinen eine besondere Individualität und Charaktertiefe.In der Nase und am Gaumen dominieren intensive Aromen von reifen Pfirsichen und saftigen Zitrusfrüchten. Die fruchtige Süße wird von einer markanten, trockenen Säure perfekt ausbalanciert, sodass der Wein trotz seiner opulenten Fruchtfülle knochentrocken bleibt.Die Trauben des Chardonnay wurden in 300-Liter-Fässern aus französischer Eiche vergoren, was dem Wein eine dezente Holznote und eine samtige Textur verleiht. Der Viognier wurde separat im Edelstahltank ausgebaut, um seine frische, fruchtige Charakteristik zu bewahren. Nach der Gärung verschmolzen die beiden Komponenten und reiften 12 Monate zusammen, wodurch eine harmonische Komplexität und Tiefe entstand.Der La Bri Double Door Chardonnay Viognier eignet sich ideal als Begleiter zu leichten Fischgerichten, Meeresfrüchten, gebratenem Geflügel oder mediterranen Speisen mit frischen Kräutern. With the Crystal Spark, La Bri presents an expressive Cap Classique from the creative Double Door range. This sparkling wine is produced using the traditional method and matures for an exceptionally long time on the lees, which gives it its elegant perlage, aromatic depth and fine texture.The grapes come from older vineyards on the La Bri estate in Franschhoek and were carefully harvested by hand. After whole cluster pressing, the base wine was matured for several months in used French oak barrels before being bottled for a second fermentation. The subsequent ageing on the lees gives the Crystal Spark its complexity, creamy structure and a lively, fresh finish.The Crystel Spark is a versatile food companion - ideal as an aperitif or with oysters, sushi, fine antipasti or creamy goat's cheese. La Bri Chardonnay is an expressive, carefully vinified white wine from Franschhoek that combines classic Chardonnay characteristics with South African radiance. With aromas of white pear, lime and a creamy, finely balanced palate, this wine offers drinking pleasure at a high level - carried by a crisp acidity and a playful, sweet and sour finish.The grapes were harvested by hand in the first week of February and cooled overnight to preserve freshness and fruit. After whole cluster pressing, the must was left to rest before the clear juice was transferred to a selection of high quality French oak barrels of 300 and 600 liters (39% of which were new).The wine fermented partly spontaneously, partly with selected yeasts directly in the wood. It then matured for a total of 12 months on the fine lees, giving it its creamy structure and fine complexity.In the glass, La Bri Chardonnay is animatingly fresh, with bright fruit notes, a hint of flowers and delicate wood. The balance between fruit, acidity and texture makes it a versatile accompaniment to food and an exciting soloist in equal measure.The bright yellow Clivia miniata on the label symbolizes the floral, lively character of the wine - an expression of freshness, joie de vivre and elegance.Perfect with grilled poultry, creamy pasta with mushrooms, goat's cheese or summer asparagus. After a night in cold storage, the whole grapes were gently pressed. After pre-clarification, the must was transferred to 600-liter French oak barrels (half of which were new), where it fermented and matured for 11 months. This careful vinification gives the wine its fine woody spice, structure and depth without losing its freshness.In the glass, La Bri Barrel Select Chardonnay reveals an elegant interplay of fresh citrus fruit, juicy stone fruit notes and fine minerality. Creamy but focused on the palate, with animating acidity and a long, taut finish. The style remains precise, lively and clearly structured - a prime example of modern South African Chardonnay.The stylized Clivia miniata, also known as a buttercup, adorns the label - it symbolizes the fresh, radiant character of this wine.A perfect accompaniment to scallops, roasted poultry, lemon risotto or fresh goat's cheese.
