Zuccardi Series A Chardonnay

"Don't look for perfect wines, but for wines that express their origin." This credo characterizes the work of Sebastián Zuccardi and finds a particularly successful expression in the Zuccardi Serie A Chardonnay. The "Serie A" line - short for "Serie Argentina" - is dedicated to Argentina's most important grape varieties and expresses their origin from selected vineyards along the Andes. With its clear style and excellent value for money, the Zuccardi Serie A Chardonnay is a convincing representative of modern Argentinian white wines.

The Chardonnay has a bright, greenish-yellow hue in the glass and delights with aromas of pineapple, white peach, apricot and citrus fruit, complemented by fine floral and subtly spicy nuances. On the palate, it impresses with its lively freshness, which is particularly emphasized by the absence of malolactic fermentation. A fine creaminess from the partial maturation in wood and the ageing on the fine lees with regular bâtonnage gives the wine additional depth, while delicate mineral notes round off the profile.

During vinification, part of the must is fermented in French oak barrels and the majority in stainless steel tanks. The Zuccardi Serie A Chardonnay then matures for six months on the fine lees, which gives it structure and elegance.

This Chardonnay is a versatile accompaniment to poultry, fish, sushi or soft cheese. It is also a stylish choice on its own - on a summer terrace, for example. Recommended drinking temperature: 8-10 °C.

Zuccardi Q Malbec

Salentein Barrel Selection Chardonnay
Bodegas Salentein in Argentina's Valle de Uco, which is close to Mendoza, is one of the most established wineries in South America. Not only the building itself, with its cross-shaped storage cellar sunk deep into the ground, but also the range of wines on offer is impressive. The Salentein Barrel Selection Chardonnay is a pure Chardonnay that was allowed to mature for 6 months in American oak before being bottled.A bright yellow color greets the eye of the connoisseur. The nose is wonderfully full-bodied with aromas of pears, tropical fruits such as honeydew melon and limes, as well as apples, cloves and lime blossom. The palate is soft and flatteringly broad with a great melting texture. Subtle barrel notes support the hints of tropical fruit and a beautiful acidity balances out the opulence of the dry Chardonnay perfectly. The finish is a long reverberation of gentle elegance and silkiness. We recommend the Salentein Barrel Selection Chardonnay as an aperitif, solo, but also as a convincing accompaniment to food. This Argentinian white wine goes perfectly with shellfish and crustaceans, salmon, pasta, poultry, veal and young cheese.

Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc
The Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc consists of grapes that come from two different vineyards. One of the vineyards is already 19 years old and located 450 metres above sea level. The grapes from these vines give the wine its complexity. The vines that grow in the second vineyard are only 4 years old, giving the wine its freshness. In order to protect the grapes from heat stress, the harvest was carried out early in the morning. After repeated selection in the cellar, the grapes were pressed at a temperature of approximately 57.2 °F. The must remained in contact with the skin for about 6 hours. Subsequently, the wine was fermented at a temperature of 53.6 to 57.2 °F for a period of 10 days. On the nose, the Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc offers various aromas such as notes of green apple, Asian fruit, pears, white peach and lemon grass. It is soft and creamy on the palate, showing an intense minerality and a surprisingly long finish. Thanks to its vivid acidity, the Lanzerac Sauvignon Blanc goes beautifully with goat’s cheese and seafood salads.
