Anlässlich des 50-jährigen Bestehens der Weinmarke Kanonkop bringt das Weingut aus Südafrika eine limitierte Edition vom Paul Sauer aus dem Jahrgang 2009 auf den Markt.

Beschrieben von vielen Weinkritikern, wird der Paul Sauer Jahrgang 2009 als einer der besten die je von Kanonkop vinifiziet wurden. Dies ist eine würdige Hommage an den legendären Gründer des Weinguts, Paul Sauer und seiner Kellermeister Coetzee, Truter und Beeslaar.

Die Flaschen wurden speziell etikettiert und in einer auffälligen Geschenkbox verpackt.

Bei diesem Rotwein handelt es sich um eine klassische Mischung aus 69 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 19 % Merlot und 12 % Cabernet Franc. Der Wein hat eine tief rubinrote Farbe. Das sehr komplexe Bouquet zeigt viel schwarze Johannisbeere, rote Beeren, Mokka und würzige Aromen. Ein vollmundiger opulent strukturierter Wein mit einer raffinierten Eleganz. Paul Sauer 50 reifte für 24 Monate in französischen 225 Liter Eichenfässern.

Der Wein hat seine Trinkreife erreicht und wird noch viele Jahre große Freude bereiten. Er passt hervorragend zu allen kräftigen Fleischgerichten.
