Saint Clair Family Estate was founded by Neal and Judy Ibbotson, viticultural pioneers in Marlborough since 1978, and has since become an internationally acclaimed brand, synonymous with distinctive quality wine from the north of New Zealand's South Island.This Saint Clair Origin Chardonnay was harvested at optimum ripeness from vineyards in the Marlborough region. Each site was deliberately selected to give the wine a special complexity. A delicious, fruit-driven wine with ripe peach, nashi pear, spice and hazelnuts with a long finish. Block“ auch eine heitere Anspielung auf die ersten Reaktionen der Weintrinker beim Genuss dieses aromatisch vollen Weines: „Oh my goodness what amazing flavours!“.Die Trauben des reinsortigen Sauvignon Blanc stammen aus einem einzigen Weinberg gelegen an der O'Dwyers Road im unteren Rapaura-Gebiet nördlich vom neuseeländischen Blenheim. Dieser Standort hat fruchtbare, tiefgründige Schlickböden. Nach der Ernte wird der Saft sofort abgepresst, sodass der Kontakt mit der Schale gering bleibt. Die Gärung findet mit einer Vielzahl ausgewählter Hefen in Edelstahltanks bei kühlen Temperaturen statt, um Fruchtaroma und Frische zu bewahren.Der Saint Clair Pioneer Block 6 "Oh Block" zeigt sich im Glas in einem blassen Grün.
