This ruby-red wine from Apulia offers aromas of cherry, blackberry, and raspberry. The single-varietal Nero di Troia (also known as Uva di Troia: “grape of Troia”) is full-bodied and fresh on the palate, with beautifully integrated, soft tannins and a subtle spiciness. The Spatus 8 Nero di Troia Puglia has a long, lingering finish. The number 8 identifies the wine as coming from the parcel or plot of the same name. The vines in this parcel are over 40 years old.

This red wine, made from a native grape variety of southern Italy, was aged for 12 months in barriques and six months in the bottle.

The Paradiso winery, which is well-known in Apulia, strives to offer the best quality and the best value for money. The estate was founded in 1954 and set itself the goal of constantly improving and finding new ways to age the wines even more gently. Cantine Paradiso has since been rewarded with numerous awards for its Primitivos, Negroamaros and Nero di Troias.The vineyards, with their calcareous clay soils, are located in the vicinity of Cerignola. Mild winters and hot summers dominate the climate in this region. The grapes are harvested at the beginning of October. After destemming, the grapes are crushed and macerated for 15 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature below 27°C. The grapes are then pressed. They are then pressed. The Since 1974 Primitivo di Manduria DOP fulfills all the requirements that connoisseurs have for a genuine Primitivo from Apulia. The Italian red wine is deep and intense, with a ripe variety of aromas that it was able to develop during barrel ageing.Even though the Primitivo grape enjoys its Californian fame under the name Zinfandel, the vine is as Italian as it gets. In its country of origin, it displays a mature fullness, as in the Since 1974 Primitivo di Manduria DOP from the Tenute Eméra winery, and is matured for over a year in French oak barrels.The ageing process delights the palate with typical notes of wood, leather and tobacco, which are wonderfully contrasted by the fruit. This gives the tannins a very soft face, which unfolds particularly pleasantly in the long finish.Since 1974, this wine has been bottled by the Tagaro winery since the 2022 vintage, previously by Tenute Eméra.This authentic wine from Italy unfolds its full depth with game, roasts or flavorful pasta dishes. The drinking temperature should be 17-18 °C. This semi-dry wine is vegan and should ideally be decanted.
