Haltinger Grauburgunder Reserve trocken

The Haltinger Grauburgunder Reserve from the Baden-Markgräflerland region is an expressive, yet pleasantly accessible white wine with a harmonious structure. The grapes come from the south-west-facing slopes around Haltingen, where calcareous marl and loess soils ensure ripe, aromatic and balanced wines.

The white wine has a complex bouquet with aromas of mirabelle plum, pear and pineapple. Fine notes of chestnut and a subtle hint of vanilla round off the bouquet. It is round and mild on the palate, with typical Pinot Gris character, good extract and a smooth body. Ageing in barriques gives it additional depth and a fine creaminess without masking the fruit.

Vinification is carried out by selective manual harvesting. Part of the wine matures in barriques, giving it more structure and subtle spice.

The Haltinger Grauburgunder Reserve goes very well with poultry, veal, mild roasts and creamy pasta dishes. It shows its best side at 8-10 °C.

A versatile Pinot Gris from Baden with a fine woody note, elegant fruit and harmonious structure - accessible, but with noticeably more depth than the classic version.
