Der Château Hauchat La Rose stammt aus der altehrwürdigen Bordelaiser Appelation Fronsac und ist ein reinrassiger Merlot. Das Jahr 2019 gilt als "outstanding" in Bordeaux, so dass dieser Wein alle Elemente eines klassischen Bordeaux vom rechten Ufer zeigt, allerdings zu einem Bruchteil dessen, was man sonst für einen guten Bordeaux bezahlen muss.

Die Familie Saby ist Eigentümerin des Weingutes; ihre Mitglieder sind seit 9 Generationen als Winzer tätig und kümmern sich mit viel Hingabe und Liebe um ihre Châteaux rechts der Gironde.

Die Lese erfolgt traditionell per Hand. Die Reifung findet sowohl in neuen Eichenfässern, als auch bereits benutzten Fässern statt.

Der Château Hauchat La Rose 2019 ist von dunkler, granatroter Farbe mit purpurroten Reflexen. In der Nase  tief und komplex, mit großzügigen dunklen Fruchtaromen, süssen Pflaumen, Brombeere, Kakao und Noten von Kaffee und Röstaromen. Am Gaumen ebenfalls ein fülliger Fruchtkorb, großzügige aber gut integrierte und samtige Tannine. Der Abgang zeigt eine schöne Länge.

The Château du Gazin vineyards are located in the well-known Canon Fronsac appellation, north-east of Bordeaux, very close to Saint Émilion and Pomerol.On about 30 hectares of vineyards, the Robert family, now in its third generation, produces a red wine that is made of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec and does not require any sulphur. The work in the vineyard is also carried out with the minimum use of chemicals. The dry wine from France is HVE 3 certified, the highest level of natural wine production.The Château du Gazin 2018, aged for 18 months in barrels, simply blew us away and shows the wonderful fruit and intensity of the exceptional 2018 vintage. It has a deep ruby red colour. The nose shows strawberry, cassis, some nutmeg, notes of caramel and some cocoa. Round, full-bodied on the palate, with silky and fresh tannins, supported by lots of red fruit, strawberries, cherries, some pepper and mocha. The aftertaste is impressively long.Make sure you get this price-performance miracle, which cuts a fine figure both on its own and with game, braised, grilled or matured cheese.The wine critics were also enthusiastic: James Suckling: 92/100; Neil Martin in Vinous: 90/100; Beckustator: 91/100.

The Château de Pitray of the 2015 vintage is simply a sensation in terms of quality and good value for money. The 2015 vintage is considered the outstanding vintage in the Bordelais region. It produced the best grapes ever in the Bordeaux region’s modern history, alongside 2009 and 2010. The winery is located in Gardegan in the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation with its plateaus composed of limestone and clay, situated on the right bank of the Gironde River, just 8 kilometres from Saint-Émilion. This splendid Château has been owned by the Pitray family for 600 years. It would be a worthy setting for every Harry Potter film. The remarkable limestone and clay soils provide excellent conditions for the Merlot grapes that make up 75% of this assemblage. The cuvée of the 2016 de Pitray further consists of 23% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. In the vineyards, interventions in nature are minimised as far as possible; herbicides are not used, for example. The wine matured for 12 months in barriques and offers impressive harmony and elegance. The 2016 Château Pitray can already be enjoyed now but will be a real delight over the next 5-8 years. We recommend decanting the wine at least one hour before drinking it. The wine offers lovely aromas of dark, ripe fruit such as bilberries, blackberries and wild strawberries, wonderfully accompanied by round, fine tannins. Nothing is in the wrong place here. The notes of wood emphasise the wine’s finesse without drowning it. The 2016 Château Pitray has a well-defined, precise bouquet with blackberry and crushed strawberry fruit, the oak nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, not much depth here, but very well balanced with a silky smooth finish. This comes highly recommended, since it is usually well priced. The Château de Pitray 2016 is an ideal accompaniment to grilled dishes, game, meat loaf, roast beef and cheeses. It is also lovely on its own to enjoy with friends.

This Bordeaux Supérieur is produced by the Château Lajarre estate located southeast of Saint Émilion. In 2005, the doctor Grégory Lovato, aged 29 at the time, took possession of the winery in order to continue his grandparents’ legacy of wine-making. The Château Lajarre Cuvée Eléonore is an assemblage consisting of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc so typical of right-bank Bordeaux wines. This wine shows good fruit and simultaneously enough structure to enjoy it right now or in 2-3 years.Of course, the year 2016 also plays a special role in this cuvée; rarely have there been, even at the level of Bordeaux Supérieur, such expressive and distinctive wines as in this exceptional vintage.The wine is a lovely, brilliant and clear red in the glass. It is powerful on the nose, offering aromas of red currants and strawberries, nuances of cherries and subtle hints of cassis and toast. It is elegant on the palate, with lots of fruit such as blackberries, as well as cassis and caramelized hazelnuts together with beautifully balanced, well-integrated tannins and a counterbalancing acidity. Handlese und anschliessende Lagerung für 12 Monate in neuen und gebrauchten Fässern aus französischer Eiche runden das Bild des Château Bertin 2019 ab. Der Wein zeichnet sich durch eine große Balance und Harmonie aus, mit viel schöner reifer dunkler Frucht am runden Gaumen. Die Tannine sind geschliffen und gehen in einen delikaten Nachhall über.Bitte derzeit vor dem Genuss eine Stunde dekantieren.Ein Bordeaux für alle Gelegenheiten, insbesondere zu Gegrilltem, Hack- und Auflaufgerichten oder nicht zu würzigem Käse.

Dieser Rotwein aus der AOC Francs-Côtes de Bordeaux ist eine Assemblage aus 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc und 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Die Rebstöcke, auf bestem Kalk-Sandstein Terroir gelegen, sind im Schnitt 30 Jahre alt. Michel und Rina Guillon sind die Besitzer dieses uralten Familienbetriebs, der 10 ha Rebgarten umfasst und seit vier Generationen von Vater zu Sohn weitergegeben wird.Dem Wein merkt man die Hingabe seiner Schöpfer an. Im Glas begrüßt uns ein tiefes und funkelndes Dunkelrot. Der Guillon-Nardou zeigt eine reiche Palette von dunklen Beeren, Johannisbeeren und Brombeeren, etwas Cassis und Tabak. Am Gaumen sehr rund und voluminös, mit schöner Struktur und sehr geschliffenen Tanninen. Der Nachhall ist wunderbar lang.Ein toller „Every-day“-Bordeaux, mit einem sagenhaften Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Er ist jetzt nach etwa einer Stunde Dekantieren trinkreif, ist aber mindestens noch bis 2025 in seinem Zenit.Zu Wild, Pasta, gereiftem Käse oder mit Freunden eine echte Empfehlung!

Diese Preis-Leistungs-Sensation stammt aus dem Herzen des Entre-deux-Mers in Bordeaux, gelegen zwischen den Flüssen Garonne und Dordogne. Gerade in dieser Region entstehen in besonderen Jahrgängen Weine, die nicht zu unterschätzen sind und viel Potential offenbaren. Der Spruch „in guten Jahren kleine Châteaus kaufen“ wird durch diesen Rebsaft mehr als bestätigt.Wir haben es hier mit einem wunderbar saftigen, zugänglichen und fruchtigen Vertreter Bordeaux zu tun, dessen Cuvée aus 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon und 10% Cabernet Franc besteht.Die Familie Chevillard, Eigentümer von Janoy-Bellevue, legt Wert darauf, dass die Weine früh konsumierbar sind und nicht zu stark im Fass ausgebaut werden. Ein eher klassischer Bordeaux, der uns durch seine Frische und Fruchtigkeit überzeugte. Viel attraktive Frucht also, insbesondere Blaubeeren, Kirschen, Pflaumen und ein Hauch von weißem Pfeffer bestimmen das Aromenbild. Die Tannine sind schön schmelzig und ergänzen sich sehr harmonisch mit der feinen Säure zu einem tollen Gesamtpaket, das durchaus nicht nur Bordeaux-Einsteigern gefallen dürfte.
