This Pinot Noir from the Bois Chevaux Premier Cru site in the wine-growing region of Givry (Côte Chalonnaise) unites fruity notes of black cherries and raspberries in its bouquet, along with a lovely spice and aromas recalling the forest floor. The Thénard Givry Rouge 1er Cru Bois Chevaux was aged in oak casks and is full-bodied and velvety on the palate, with silky tannins, a lovely acidity and minerality as well as an impressive depth and length.

The Bois Chevaux vineyard is considered by many experts to be the best site in Givry. Wine-growers have been producing wines on this parcel of land since the 13th century. You’ll want to discover this special taste experience from Burgundy.

Domaine Thénard ist ein traditionsreiches Burgunder-Weingut mit Ursprung in Givry in der Côte Chalonnaise und blickt auf Weinbergbesitz seit 1760 zurück. 1842 wurde das Anwesen von Baron Paul Thénard formalisiert, heute wird es von Jean-Baptiste Bordeaux-Montrieux gemeinsam mit seinem Sohn André geführt.

Die Domaine bewirtschaftet rund 20 Hektar Rebfläche, darunter herausragende Lagen wie Le Montrachet, Corton, Grands Échezeaux sowie mehrere Premier Crus in Givry, etwa Cellier aux Moines und Bois Chevaux. Damit gehört das Weingut zu den wenigen Häusern, die eine außergewöhnliche Lagenvielfalt mit großem Renommee vereinen.

La Villette Pinot Noir VdF

Die Trauben für den reinsortigen Pinot Noir aus Südfrankreich gedeihen in Weinbergen an den Ausläufern der kühleren Pyrenäen und Cevennen auf Böden aus Kalkstein. Um die frischen Fruchtnoten im Wein zu erhalten, fängt die Weinbereitung mit zwei Tagen Kaltmazeration an. Es folgt eine weitere Gärung von zwei Wochen. Anschließend reift der La Villette Pinot Noir VdF für sechs Monate in französischer Eiche. In der Nase beeindruckt der Rotwein mit erfrischenden und subtilen Aromen von reifen Himbeeren und Preiselbeeren mit Noten von Pflaume und Toast. Am Gaumen zeigt der Pinot Noir eine schöne Balance von reifen Früchten und Frische mit einem ansprechenden würzigen Raucharoma.
