Pfaffl Vom Haus Zweigelt

The Pfaffl Vom Haus Zweigelt has a nose redolent of ripe cherries. On the palate, the red wine from Lower Austria is full and juicy, with spicy nuances and soft tannins. Made from Austria’s most important red wine grape variety, 30% of this red wine was aged in used barriques and 70% in stainless steel tanks. After roughly six months, the Pfaffl Vom Haus Zweigelt was bottled in Burgundy bottles. Try this Zweigelt with steaks, but also with pasta and pizza as well as various roasts and other meat dishes.

Pfaffl Exklusive Chardonnay
Chardonnay was planted in Rossern and on the Neuberg almost 20 years ago to show what is possible here.Traditionally, the Pfaffl Exklusive Chardonnay is matured very delicately in barrique barrels. The wine from the Lower Austria region has a delicate spicy aroma with a hint of nutmeg. Creamy and stimulating on the palate with fresh notes of ripe pear and citrus. A hint of wood gives the white wine a harmonious balance.Pleasant acidity with invigorating fruit on the finish.Goes wonderfully with fish, but also with stronger poultry and veal dishes. In 2022, the Pfaffl winery was awarded the special "BEST PRODUCER AUSTRIA" prize by the international wine award MUNDUS VINI for the third time in a row.

Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony
What’s true for classical music also applies to the Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony: many high-quality elements unite to create a harmonious whole. Roman Josef Pfaffl succeeded in creating a spicy, light wine full of vividness, freshness and fruitiness, consisting mainly of the Riesling Pinot Blanc and Grüner Veltliner. The grapes for this wine were harvested by hand. The wine matured for 3 months in stainless steel tanks before it was bottled in Burgundy bottles with screwcaps. The Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony also expresses the return to the distinctive character of such cuvées. The focus on pure varietal wines pushed these blends into the background for a long time, but they are now being increasingly rediscovered. The wines from the Weinviertel region, the biggest Austrian wine-growing area extending over approximately 44,479 acres, are often influenced by the Grüner Veltliner grape variety. In the “Veltliner region”, 50% of the wine-growing areas are cultivated with this grape variety so typical of Austria. The Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony is a real pleasure on the palate and goes well with practically everything.

Pfaffl Grüner Veltliner Hund
The Pfaffl Grüner Veltliner Hund is a lively and characterful white wine from the heart of Lower Austria that perfectly reflects the typical qualities of the Austrian Grüner Veltliner grape variety.Although the work on the Hundsleiten vineyard is tough due to the steepness of this stony site ("hundsn"), the vines, which are over 30 years old, reward this with particularly extract-rich wines.A clear pepper spice, accompanied by charming orange and pineapple aromas, already announces the complexity of the Veltliner on the nose. The complexity reaches its peak on the palate, where pepper meets minerality and citrus meets apple. The rich bouquet of Grüner Veltliner HUND Weinviertel DAC Reserve becomes clearer with every sip, and a long finish invites you to enjoy another glass. This wonderful dry white wine from Austria is ideal with typical Viennese cuisine, but also goes wonderfully with exotic dishes or fresh salads.

Pfaffl Vienna 1
The Pfaffl Wien.1 is a white wine cuvée full of character from the renowned R&A Pfaffl winery in the Weinviertel region of Lower Austria. The traditional Viennese “Gemischter Satz” served as the inspiration for this blend from the Pfaffl Winery in Lower Austria. Although the vineyards are now planted with single varieties so that the harvest date can be adapted to the needs of each variety, the idea of combining the advantages of multiple varieties in a single white wine remains. The approximately 21-year-old vines come from Viennese vineyards and bring the essence of Vienna straight to the glass. The grapes were hand-selected directly in the vineyard. Truly Viennese, fruity, and refreshing, this dry cuvée features a fruity, aromatic Riesling (60%) with lively acidity, a full-bodied Pinot Blanc, and a spicy Veltliner (20% each). The Pfaffl Wien.1 is ideal with Viennese cuisine and is very refreshing and delightful in the summer! Enjoy this delightful wine at a serving temperature of 10–12 °C.For the fifth consecutive year, in 2024, the Pfaffl Winery was honored with the special “BEST PRODUCER AUSTRIA” award by the international wine competition MUNDUS VINI.

Feudi Di San Marzano "I Tratturi" Negroamaro IGT
