The Baglio Gibellina Passimiento is an exceptional composition of flavors from Baglio Gibellina, the traditional Sicilian winery.The Nero d'Avola and Frappato grape varieties come from the province of Trapani and form the basis for this red wine. The Frappato grapes are harvested as soon as they are ripe, while the Nero d'Avola grapes are only picked when the berries are already slightly dry. On the palate, this ruby-red wine is soft and velvety, with nicely integrated tannins and a slightly sweet finish.The winery fertilizes the vines for the Baglio Gibellina Sogno del Sud Nero d’Avola only with organic compounds. The grapes come from hilly vineyards with clay soils, situated 300 to 600 metres above sea level. Barista Black 2023

Barista Black ist ein Rotwein aus Südafrika, der zu 100% aus Pinotage Trauben vinifiziert wurde. Die Rebsorte Pinotage beruht auf einer Neuzüchtung von Abraham Isak Perold im Jahre 1925 an der Universität Stellenbosch. Es handelt sich um eine Kreuzung aus Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) und Cinsault. Der Barista Black zeigt den ganzen Reichtum dieser Traube. Ein Pinotage wie er intensiver nicht sein könnte. Die Trauben stammen von den besten Weinbergen des Westkaps. Der Wein wurde in einer Kombination aus Edelstahl- und Betontanks mit zwei sanften Pumpvorgängen pro Tag vergoren. Anschließend reifte er 16 Monate lang in Eichenfässern, wobei 20 % des Weins in neuen französischen Barriques ausgebaut wurde.Der Barista Black duftet herrlich nach Pflaumen, Kirschen und Maulbeeren mit Anklängen an warme Backgewürze. Am Gaumen hat der Wein einen saftigen Fruchtkern und eine gute Konzentration mit samtigen Tanninen und etwas Eichenkomplexität. Der Abgang ist lang, glatt und angenehm trocken.Dieser vollmundige Wein passt gut zu dunkel geschmorter Lammschulter auf Langkornreis mit Rotkohl-Speck-Kimchi oder gebratener Entenbrust und gemischtem Blattsalat und Kartoffelecken.
