The bouquet combines notes of tropical fruits such as pineapple, white nectarine and sweet baking spices. On the palate, this wine from "California's First Family of Chardonnay" is full, luscious and somewhat creamy, with a beautiful texture, balance and a long finish.The Wente family has been dedicated to viticulture for 5 generations, and this blend of Chardonnay and a very small amount of Gewürztraminer shows why the winery is one of the big names in Californian viticulture.Enjoy this American white wine with cheese, vegetable dishes or poultry.

The Wittmann Westhofener Riesling comes from the best vineyards of the Westhofener Berg and is an impressive ambassador of its origins. As a VDP Erste Lage, it embodies the finest traditions of Rheinhessen: the distinctive minerality of the limestone soils and the characteristic expression of the vineyard are unmistakable.The grapes are harvested by hand with great care, selecting only the best berries for this Riesling. Low yields, consistent hand-picking and intensive care of the vines create the basis for a wine of the highest precision. The grapes and must are processed particularly gently in order to preserve the pure fruit aromas and minerality of the terroir. A large proportion of the wine is fermented in traditional small wooden barrels, which gives it additional depth, structure and a subtle hint of fullness without compromising its freshness.In the glass, the Wittmann Westhofener Riesling shows clear yellow fruit combined with a fine, smoky minerality. On the palate, it is juicy, elegant and lively, with a noticeable tension and plenty of grip that make the wine particularly harmonious. The long-lasting, salty finish makes the origin and special quality of this Riesling unmistakably clear.This Riesling is an excellent accompaniment to light starters, fresh salads, grilled vegetables or fish dishes. Aus besten Weinberglagen kommt der Wolfberger Hengst Grand Cru Pinot Gris AOC, was wir aus dem Grand Cru (großes Gewächs) in seinem Namen entnehmen können. Hengst steht für den Weinberg, auf dem die Pinot Gris Trauben des französischen Weißweins wachsen. Der Boden besteht hier aus Kalkmergel und schafft die besten Voraussetzungen für den ausdrucksstarken Grauburgunder, den das Weingut Wolfberger geschaffen hat.Das Weingut erntet nach Best-Practice Methoden. Es handelt sich dabei um unverbindliche Empfehlungen, wie bei der Ernte vorzugehen ist. So ist man flexibler als bei einer Standardmethode und Ausdruck sowie Charakter der Weinberge werden optimiert. Die Qualität der Reben kann hierdurch ständig überwacht werden.Die Farbe des Weißweins ist bezaubernd Goldgelb mit schimmernden Silbertönen. Die Nase überrascht ein Hauch von Honig und im Geschmack finden sich Ausgewogenheit und Restsüße, unterstrichen von Toast-Aromen. Der Abgang ist bemerkenswert lang.
