A warm, shiny ruby red and a fragrant bouquet of wild berries, blueberries and cherries with undertones of cinnamon, figs and dried Mediterranean herbs characterize the Montes Outer Limits CGM. The grapes for the blend of Carignan, Grenache and Mourvèdre are harvested by hand and fermented separately by grape variety. Forty percent of the wines are matured in new French oak barrels. Juicy acidity, fine spice and supple tannins on the palate. Purple Angel is a selection of our best Carmenère selected from our two Estates (50% sourced from Apalta, were its sunny vineyards give elegance to the wine and 50% from our Marchigue Estate, a coastal cool weather vineyard that produces low yields naturally and provides strength, concentration and a deep, intense carmine color to it. A fantastic wine that blends both elegance and powerPurple Angel showcases the spicy touches typical of Carmenère, with ripe, gentle and soft tannins, it’s a full bodied, concentrated wine that combines red berries and dark chocolate on the mouth with alluring cigar box, blackberries and plums aromas on the noseThe wine is blended with a touch of Petit Verdot to enhance its structure, color and cellaring potential. A mouth filling wine with a very long finish, definitely a unique Carmenère!Denomination of Origin: Purple Angel is a blend of 92% Carmenère and 8% Petit Verdot from the Colchagua Valley. Winemaking: Grapes are carefully hand picked. The clusters go through a grape by grape selection made by hand with a team of 14 people, in which only good fruit is allowed into the tank. During the 18 months of barrel aging in new French oak barrels, the wine is racked 3 times to get rid of lees, and allow some oxygen to interfere in the evolution and maturation of this wine.When the final blend is made, if the wine is totally clear, and has no microbiological pressure, there is no need for filtration or fining….so the wine goes unfiltered to the bottling process.Decant for at least an hour for better enjoyment, allowing the wine to open up.

The Montes Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is an expressive red wine from the Chilean Valle de Colchagua, one of the most renowned wine regions in South America.This Chilean red wine is characterized by a dense ruby red color with dark reflections. The intense aroma of fruits such as cassis and wild strawberries is accompanied by black cherries and a hint of chocolate: dark berries on the surface, delicately underlined by a hint of oak, supported by the solid and ripe tannins of this dry red wine. The Cabernet provides the power (85%), the Merlot the fruitiness (15%). Montes Wings Carmenère 2021

The Montes Wings Carmenère is one of Chile's top wines and comes from the exclusive vineyards of Finca Apalta in the Colchagua Valley. The vines grow on steep slopes, around 200 meters above the plains of the valley, on deep granite soils with a high clay content, excellent drainage and a south-westerly orientation. This unique combination ensures controlled temperatures during the hot summer days and a particularly even ripening of the grapes. The grapes are fully exposed through targeted foliage work, which increases the concentration of aromas and reduces the typical bitter substances of this variety.The grapes are harvested by hand, individually selected and transported to the winery in 10 kg crates. During processing, the best grapes are first selected and destemmed before further selection of the berries takes place - only the optimally ripened grapes make it into the wine. This is followed by 5-7 days of cold maceration at 10 °C to gently extract aromas and color. Alcoholic fermentation is then carried out over 12-15 days at 26-29 °C with selected yeasts in order to preserve the characteristic properties of the Carmenère grape.After fermentation, the red wine remains on the skins for a while to develop volume and depth before being filled into French oak barrels. 80% of the wine matures in new barrels, 20% in second to third use barrels, for a total of 16 months. This ageing gives the wine elegant tannins, depth and complexity.In the glass, Montes Wings has a deep crimson color. The nose seduces with intense aromas of ripe red and black fruits such as plums, sour cherries and blackberries, complemented by fine spicy notes, cassis liqueur and hints of pastry. Subtle roasted aromas, vanilla, slightly sweet liqueur nuances and roasted nuts result from the long barrel ageing. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, silky and harmonious, with soft, perfectly integrated tannins and a long-lasting, complex finish.This Carmenère is an excellent accompaniment to fine meat dishes, such as lamb chops with rosemary, pork ribs or refined cannelloni. It is also an ideal choice with braised beef dishes and autumnal game dishes. Serve at 17-19 °C and ideally decant about 30 minutes before drinking to allow the aromas to develop to their full potential.

A wonderful taste of Chile: Four outstanding grape varieties compose this singular and distinctive red wine. Quatro is the outcome of a judicious oak aged blend that shows the optimum balance between ripe fruit and velvety smooth tannins, as well as the true characteristic of this particular vintage year.The blend from the Colchagua Valley has a deep ruby red with purple notes. Seña Eduardo Chadwick 2020

Seña is an icon of viticulture in South America. The Chilean red wine has fascinated international wine critics for many years. In Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, Luis Gutiérrez has never awarded the Seña less than 96 points since 2015. James Suckling even awarded 100 points in 2015 and 2018 for the noble red wine, which has been backed by Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi, two greats of the wine world, since 1995. The 2020 Seña vintage is also outstanding. The creation from the Aconcagua Valley was awarded 97 points by Gutiérrez and 98 by Suckling.The bouquet of the blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Malbec, 15% Carmenere and 7% Petit Verdot is impressively complex. Notes of raspberries and cherries form the intensely fruity basis. They create a stimulating interplay with balsamic notes of cedar and tobacco as well as nuances of dill and rosemary, explains Francisco Baettig, the technical director of Seña.The wine "is subtle and multi-layered, not just fruit, but with more spice," Gutiérrez says of the 2020 vintage. Suckling's verdict: "Complex, with a spicy character, the nose shows tobacco, salty plums, olives, black cherries, cassis and a hint of white pepper, followed by a fine, spicy, balsamic accent."On the palate, the deep garnet-red Chilean blend is dry, dense and powerful, with masterfully integrated, polished tannins. The Seña 2020 has "very fine-grained tannins, plus freshness, acidity and tension. Very balanced in a rather warm vintage," says Baettig.Gutiérrez also writes of polished tannins and very well-integrated wood maturation after 22 months in barriques. According to the Spaniard, 78% new wood was used and 10% of the wine was aged in large Stockinger barrels, i.e. barrels from the world-renowned barrel maker from Austria.Seña's vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley, along the Aconcagua River, which flows from the Andes into the Pacific, offer the perfect terroir for perfect wines. Located on the eastern side of the coastal mountains, and thus shielded from the direct influence of the ocean, the growing area also benefits from a Mediterranean climate and the cooling effect of the world's oceans. The fact that Seña was an early adopter of biodynamic viticulture also ensures that this Chilean red wine fully develops the extraordinary potential of the terroir.You can already drink the Seña 2020 now.
