Laut Hugh Johnsen ist es „das vielleicht beständigste Weingut für Brunello und Rosso di Montalcino“. Der Wein besteht aus der Rebsorte Sangiovese, Merlot und Cabernet Sauvignon. Durch diese Mischung überzeugt der Wein aus Italien als echter Allrounder mit angenehm weichem Geschmack. Neben den erwähnten Fleischspeisen passt der Poggione Rosso auch ausgesprochen gut zu Vorspeisen wie Käsehäppchen oder getrocknetem Schinken. Ideal kommt er zur Geltung, wenn Sie ihn bei 16 bis 18 °C servieren.

Le Serre Nuove 2022

Le Serre Nuove is a remarkable blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The grapes are very concentrated, with a perfect balance between ripe tannins, fresh acidity and intense, ripe flavors.Wine lovers can expect a concentrated, fine and soft red wine of great aromatic intensity. Scents of ripe red fruits are accompanied by tobacco leaf notes and spices. On the palate impress the great maturity and quality of soft, dense and smooth tannins.Each grape variety and each vineyard parcel was vinified separately. The wine was aged around 15 months in barriques. After the first 12 months, the wines were merged to mature for a further 3 months in barriques. A six-month aging in the bottle stood at the end of the process. Le Serre Nuove offers a remarkable aging potential, but is also already a pleasure.The winery "Tenuta dell'Ornellaia" was founded in 1981 by Marchese Lodovico Antinori – with the support of the legendary winemaker André Tchelistcheff. In the wine-world Tenuta dell'Ornellaia – situated in the Province of Livorno in Tuscany – fastly achieved an outstanding, almost legendary reputation, thanks to its exquisite creations.

The full-bodied red wine is made from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grape varieties and impresses at first glance with its deep, dark purple-red color.After careful decanting, the bouquet opens up with finely spiced nuances of mulberries, cherries and cocoa beans. This aromatic composition is underpinned by the delicate spice of Mediterranean herbs and an exceptionally fine acidity. Finally, the fruity composition on the palate is surprising, giving the red wine a wonderfully soft and silky finish.As Le Volte Rosso is a good storage wine, it will accompany you for a long time with dishes such as game, dark meat or strong poultry. The recommended drinking temperature is between 16 and 18 °C.

Dieser Grappa aus Südtirol ist eine Sonderedition der international vielfach ausgezeichneten Brennerei Marzadro. Der Marzadro Le Diciotto Lune Riserva Botte Whisky ist eine Kreation aus autochthonen roten und weißen Rebsorten im Trentino im Norden Italiens. Marzadro hat diesen Grappa in kleinen Holzfässern ausgebaut, wobei Kirsch-, Eschen- und Eichenholz genutzt wurden sowie das Holz der Robinie.Anschließend reifte der italienische Tresterbrand in – mit der Erfahrung von Kennerinnen und Kennern ausgewählten – schottischen Fässern, die zuvor für die Veredelung von Whiskys genutzt wurden. Dabei wurden für den Ausbau Fässer von Whiskys mit und ohne prägende Torf-Noten verwendet. Entsprechend duftet der Marzadro Le Diciotto Lune Riserva Botte Whisky intensiv fruchtig und würzig, typisch für hochwertigen Grappa von Marzadro. Hinzu kommen torfige Nuancen, die diesen Tresterbrand so unverwechselbar machen. "Monumental": that's what the makers of Castello di Fonterutoli themselves write about their Mazzei Siepi 2020. And what can we say: they're right. The red wine from Tuscany is an outstanding creation. The blend of 50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot from the Chianti Classico region has enchanted international wine critics. "An exceptionally beautiful wine. I love it," says Decanter (98 points), for example, while Monica Larner writes in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (95 points): "The Mazzei 2020 Siepi is a magnificent vintage."The bouquet of the Italian red wine seduces with its complexity and the wonderful interplay of fruit, spice and floral notes. "Graphite and pencil come through, along with violets and blackberries. Also some tar and asphalt," writes James Suckling, who awards 98. Castello di Fonterutoli itself discovers crunchy elderberries, plums, berries, sandalwood and tobacco on the nose, while Decanter says of the bouquet: "Dried herbs and sweet spices on the nose, forest notes with blackberry fruit, concentrated and expressive." Cherry notes also characterize the bouquet.On the palate, the Mazzei Siepi 2020 is dry, wonderfully soft and at the same time crisp and fresh, with impressive elegance and depth. The fruitiness is fascinating. "Such a smooth transition on the palate, the tannins glide over the tongue and give the sweet strawberry, raspberry and plum fruit time to expand in the mouth," enthuses Decanter. Aromas of blueberry and blackberry also enrich the play of flavors. Everything is round and in perfect balance, with a fabulous length.This Super Tuscan matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, 70% of which were new barrels. The Merlot was matured in barriques (225 liter barrels), the Sangiovese in tonneaux (500 liter barrels). The blend was then aged for three months in cement tanks.The Mazzei Siepi 2020 is already a real treat. However, it has enormous ageing potential. Suckling writes: "Already ready to drink, but will age gracefully for decades." The makers of Castello di Fonterutoli expect it to age for more than 20 years.Enjoy the Mazzei family's creation with a fine blue cheese. More pleasure is not possible.
