Der Cabernet Sauvignon wird aus ausgesuchten Früchten, welche von Hand gelesen werden, bereitet. Diese Trauben stammen aus einem ausgereiften Weingarten mit einem niedrigen Ertrag. Der Wein hat eine tiefe, volle rubinrote-purpurne Farbe. Er reifte 24 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern.Geruch: Intensiver Geruch nach Cassis, Pflaumen und Nesselbeeren. Holzaromen und Aromen von Kräutern, Zeder und unterliegende mineralige Noten.Dieser Wein ist full-bodied mit einer beeindruckenden Struktur. Intensiv saftige Cassis- und Pflaumenfrucht die durch raffiniertes Tannin und die natürrlichen Säuren unterstützt werden.

Meerlust Chardonnay

Im Glas ein heller, lebendiger Platin-Farbton mit grüner Tönung. Komplexes Bouquet von Zitronengras, Limetten, Hafermehl, ausdrucksstarker Mineralität.Am Gaumen ist der südafrikanische Wein von mittlerem Körper, aber mit klarer Säure, Aromen von Kalk, Marzipan, cremige ausgedehnte Eichen-, Apfel- und Birnbaum-Merkmale. Durch eine reine, lineare mineralische Note ergibt sich ein sauberer und langer Abgang.Von Hand gepflückt, als gesamte Partie gepresst und sofort in 300 Liter Fässer aus französischer Eiche gefüllt. Dabei wurden 60% neue Fässer und 40% Fässer, die schon bereits einmal befüllt waren, verwendet. Die Gärung fand in Eiche statt, teils als natürliche und teils als malolaktische Gärung. Die Reifung erfolgte für 12 Monate in Eichenfässern mit gelegentlichem Rühren vor dem Abfüllen in Flaschen.Dieser Weißwein aus der Region Stellenbosch passt perfekt zu gegrilltem Fisch, weißem und rotem Fleisch.

Meerlust Merlot

The Meerlust Merlot comes from the traditional Meerlust Estate in Stellenbosch - a wine estate that has been synonymous with top South African wines for centuries. This single-varietal Merlot cuvée impressively demonstrates how complex and long-lasting the grape variety can be vinified in the cooler locations of the Cape Winelands.The wine shines a deep ruby red in the glass. Intense aromas of black plums, dark cherries and fine herbs unfold on the nose, accompanied by hints of mocha, tobacco and subtle spice. On the palate, the Merlot is powerful and juicy with ripe, dark fruit flavors and a present but elegant acidity. Notes of cherry tobacco, black pepper and delicate wood provide multi-layered depth. The finish is long, structured and supported by fine-grained tannins - a wine with excellent ageing potential.The wine is aged for a total of 18 months: first, the individual vineyards are vinified separately and matured in small French barriques. After blending, the wine is matured further in oak, with around 40% new wood being used. The wine is then further refined in the bottle before being sold.Meerlust Merlot is an excellent accompaniment to braised lamb, fillet of beef with mushroom jus, mature hard cheese or pasta with dark sauces. Enjoy it at a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C.The Meerlust Merlot has an intense, dark color in the glass. The bouquet combines notes of brambly fruit, mulberry, licorice and damson plum, with a hint of dark chocolate and spices. On the palate, this red wine offers generous Merlot fruit, with structured acidity and yet soft tannins, as well as a pronounced length and minerality.The Merlot from the Meerlust winery is an excellent accompaniment to red meat, game and strong cheeses.

Meerlust Pinot Noir

Der Meerlust Pinot Noir stammt aus dem traditionsreichen Weingut Meerlust Estate in Stellenbosch, das für seine charaktervollen Weine bekannt ist. Dieser Pinot Noir verkörpert das Terroir Südafrikas mit Eleganz und Finesse.Im Glas zeigt sich der Wein in einem leuchtenden Rubinrot. The Meerlust Red is an elegant red wine cuvée from Stellenbosch that perfectly reflects the terroir and expertise of the famous Meerlust wine estate. As the "second wine" of the legendary Meerlust Rubicon, this blend offers a more accessible yet complex alternative with intense fruit, fine spice and a smooth tannin structure.The grapes for the Meerlust Red come from the same first-class vineyards as the Rubicon. The cuvée usually consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, although Malbec or Petit Verdot may also be added depending on the vintage. After temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels to give it additional depth and elegance.In the glass, the Meerlust Red is a deep ruby red with violet reflections. Very deep, youthfull colour, intense almost purple hue. Very classic Rubicon nose with violets, ripe plum, cedarwood and intense spiceynesss. Perfect as a gift: 1.5 liters of top South African wine in a gift tube.A super dark ruby red in the glass, almost opaque. A light orange hue shimmers at the edge of the glass. A smoky aroma rises to the nose. Then, with a little air, the bouquet develops into dark berries, yet not overloaded, but fresh and clear.An intense experience on the palate: the fruity notes from the nose are echoed on the palate and are reminiscent of black cherry and blackcurrant.
