Der Rust en Vrede Estate ist ein Cuvee aus den Rebsorten Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah und Merlot. Der dominierende Cabernet gibt dem Wein herrliche Noten von schwarzer Johannisbeere und weiteren dunklen Früchten wie Heidelbeere. Der Syrah sorgt für eine schöne Würze mit erdigen Aromen. Der Merlot steuert sanfte florale Aromen von Veilchen und Jasmin bei. Eine Kombination, die am Gaumen wirklich Spaß macht. Die Farbe ist purpurrot und in der Nase finden sich Noten von frischem Leder, Tabak, Maulbeeren und Waldboden wieder. Der langanhaltende Abgang wird durch samtig weiche Tannine bestimmt.Der Rust en Vrede Estate reifte 18 Monate in 100% französischen Fässern, die mittelstark getoastet waren. On the palate, this blend, consisting mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and a smaller percentage of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec, is medium-bodied, with a pleasant structure and noticeable tannins that become increasingly subtle over the years. This is already a powerful, high-quality wine that will benefit considerably from additional ageing. The Rustenberg John X Merriman matured for 20 months in French oak casks, of which 35% were new barriques. Second- and third-fill barrels were used as well.This red wine is dedicated to John Xavier Merriman, a former owner of the Rustenberg estate. He acquired the winery in 1892, breathing new life into it.

The Numina Gran Corte from Argentina’s prestigious Salentein estate is part of the premium range of the winery, and thus simultaneously one of the best Argentine wines. At Salentein, the decades of expertise of oenologist Jose Galante, a perfect terroir, a bold approach to innovation, and substantial investment in its cellars and technology complement each other to create an extremely fruitful environment from which wines like the Numina emerge.Only the best Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes are united to compose this unique blend. The Malbec variety, which is predominant in this wine, is the most widely established vine in Argentina. The grapes come from the Uco Valley in Mendoza, located at the foot of the Andes. The vines grow in vineyards at an altitude of up to 1,700 metres and benefit from lots of sun during the day and cooler temperatures at night. They are watered by the pure meltwater from the Andes.The Salentein Numina Gran Corte is a light, very intense crimson in colour.
