Purple Angel is a selection of our best Carmenère selected from our two Estates (50% sourced from Apalta, were its sunny vineyards give elegance to the wine and 50% from our Marchigue Estate, a coastal cool weather vineyard that produces low yields naturally and provides strength, concentration and a deep, intense carmine color to it. A fantastic wine that blends both elegance and powerPurple Angel showcases the spicy touches typical of Carmenère, with ripe, gentle and soft tannins, it’s a full bodied, concentrated wine that combines red berries and dark chocolate on the mouth with alluring cigar box, blackberries and plums aromas on the noseThe wine is blended with a touch of Petit Verdot to enhance its structure, color and cellaring potential. A mouth filling wine with a very long finish, definitely a unique Carmenère!Denomination of Origin: Purple Angel is a blend of 92% Carmenère and 8% Petit Verdot from the Colchagua Valley. Winemaking: Grapes are carefully hand picked. The clusters go through a grape by grape selection made by hand with a team of 14 people, in which only good fruit is allowed into the tank. During the 18 months of barrel aging in new French oak barrels, the wine is racked 3 times to get rid of lees, and allow some oxygen to interfere in the evolution and maturation of this wine.When the final blend is made, if the wine is totally clear, and has no microbiological pressure, there is no need for filtration or fining….so the wine goes unfiltered to the bottling process.Decant for at least an hour for better enjoyment, allowing the wine to open up.

Montes Reserva Merlot 2022

Der Montes Reserva Merlot besitzt im Glas eine tiefe Kamin-rote Farbe und eine starke Komplexität von Aromen. Im Bouquet stoßen fruchtige Noten von schwarzen Pflaumen und Brombeere, auf Noten von Dulche de Leche, Vanille, Süßigkeiten und ein Hauch von Gewürzen. Am Gaumen ist der Rotwein aus Chile freundlich mit einem mittleren Körper, gut zusammengesetzter Tannine und einer ausgewogenen Säure. Das Gefühl von Obst und Eiche verbindet sich gut am Gaumen, was zu einem langen Abgang führt.Dieser Reserve ist ein hervorragender Begleiter zu allen würzig-aromatischen Fleischgerichten, geräucherte Entenbrust, Rinderfilet oder Lasange.

In the glass, the Montgras Antu Cabernet Sauvignon/ Carménère has an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The bouquet is dominated by red fruits and spices. On the palate, the Chilean red wine has a pleasant concentration and structure, accompanied by subtle chocolate notes and fine, juicy tannins. The wine has a pleasant finish with long-lasting and elegant notes of toast from the barrel ageing.The Montgras Antu Cabernet Sauvignon / Carménère was aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels, 20% of the barrels were new.Enjoy this exceptional red wine with red meat or game and pasta dishes. MontGras Quatro 2022

A wonderful taste of Chile: Four outstanding grape varieties compose this singular and distinctive red wine. Quatro is the outcome of a judicious oak aged blend that shows the optimum balance between ripe fruit and velvety smooth tannins, as well as the true characteristic of this particular vintage year.The blend from the Colchagua Valley has a deep ruby red with purple notes. On the nose a unique combination of ripe fruit, spices and floral notes given by each of the varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carmenère & Malbec), framed by touches of toast and cedar from a nicely integrated oak ageing.On the palate firm and powerful, with plenty of ripe and nicely textured tannins that give structure and silkiness. Loads of juicy ripe black fruit nicely combined with vanilla and toast from the oak ageing.

Seña Eduardo Chadwick 2020

Seña is an icon of viticulture in South America. The Chilean red wine has fascinated international wine critics for many years. In Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, Luis Gutiérrez has never awarded the Seña less than 96 points since 2015. James Suckling even awarded 100 points in 2015 and 2018 for the noble red wine, which has been backed by Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi, two greats of the wine world, since 1995. The 2020 Seña vintage is also outstanding. The creation from the Aconcagua Valley was awarded 97 points by Gutiérrez and 98 by Suckling.The bouquet of the blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Malbec, 15% Carmenere and 7% Petit Verdot is impressively complex. Notes of raspberries and cherries form the intensely fruity basis. They create a stimulating interplay with balsamic notes of cedar and tobacco as well as nuances of dill and rosemary, explains Francisco Baettig, the technical director of Seña.The wine "is subtle and multi-layered, not just fruit, but with more spice," Gutiérrez says of the 2020 vintage. Suckling's verdict: "Complex, with a spicy character, the nose shows tobacco, salty plums, olives, black cherries, cassis and a hint of white pepper, followed by a fine, spicy, balsamic accent."On the palate, the deep garnet-red Chilean blend is dry, dense and powerful, with masterfully integrated, polished tannins. The Seña 2020 has "very fine-grained tannins, plus freshness, acidity and tension. Very balanced in a rather warm vintage," says Baettig.Gutiérrez also writes of polished tannins and very well-integrated wood maturation after 22 months in barriques. According to the Spaniard, 78% new wood was used and 10% of the wine was aged in large Stockinger barrels, i.e. barrels from the world-renowned barrel maker from Austria.Seña's vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley, along the Aconcagua River, which flows from the Andes into the Pacific, offer the perfect terroir for perfect wines. Located on the eastern side of the coastal mountains, and thus shielded from the direct influence of the ocean, the growing area also benefits from a Mediterranean climate and the cooling effect of the world's oceans. The fact that Seña was an early adopter of biodynamic viticulture also ensures that this Chilean red wine fully develops the extraordinary potential of the terroir.You can already drink the Seña 2020 now. Seña Eduardo Chadwick 2021

Seña 2021 is an iconic red wine from Chile, more precisely from the Aconcagua Valley, around 100 kilometers north of Santiago. This valley offers ideal conditions for viticulture due to its location and climate. Seña is a joint project between the famous Chilean winemaker Eduardo Chadwick and the Mondavi family from California, which was launched in 1995. The aim was to create a wine that is on a par with top international wines in terms of quality and expressiveness, but with a clear Chilean identity.The wine comes from biodynamically cultivated vineyards that thrive on stony, mineral-rich soils. These soils, combined with the high altitude and cool Pacific breezes, allow the grapes to ripen slowly, resulting in a perfect balance between fruit, acidity and tannin.The Seña 2021 is a masterful cuvée, dominated by 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Malbec, 17% Carménère and 6% Petit Verdot. On the nose, it immediately seduces with a complex bouquet of blackcurrants, cherries and plums, accompanied by subtle nuances of tobacco, cedar and a hint of chocolate. Hints of balsamic vinegar and fresh herbs also lend the wine a remarkable depth.On the palate, the Seña 2021 is full-bodied and powerful, yet elegant at the same time. The ripe tannins are finely integrated and give the wine structure and longevity. The fruit is juicy and concentrated, with notes of dark berries, accompanied by spicy accents and a subtle hint of mint and black pepper. Its well-integrated acidity gives the wine a lively freshness that does not make it appear too heavy despite its intensity. The finish is long, complex and leaves behind a pleasant minerality.The Seña 2021 once again confirms its reputation as one of the best wines in Chile and perhaps the entire New World. It combines the elegance and structure of the best Bordeaux wines with the powerful fruit and spice typical of the Aconcagua Valley. Although it is already impressive, it will certainly continue to grow in complexity and harmony over the coming decades. Viña Carmen Gran Reserva Carménère 2023

Dieser reinsortige Carménère aus dem Colchagua-Tal duftet intensiv fruchtig und würzig. Noten von Schwarzkirschen prägen das Bukett, dazu schöne Töne von Lorbeer, Gewürznelken, dunkler Schokolade sowie von Oliven und auch Tabak. Auch merkliche Nuancen von Pfeffer und Paprika, typisch für chilenischen Carménère. Am Gaumen ist der Carmen Gran Reserva Carménère angenehm strukturiert und konzentriert, mit weichen und samtigen Tanninen. Der tief rubinrot schimmernde Wein reifte für 14 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern heran. Sein Alterungspotenzial liegt bei 6 bis 7 Jahren. Der bekannte US-Weinkritiker James Suckling urteilte: „Wirklich wunderschöne Aromen von Brombeeren und Blumen mit schwarzem Lakritz und Pilzen, gefolgt von einem vollen Körper.“ Zugleich sei der Rotwein „dicht und präzise mit einer feinen Tannin-Textur und einem langen, würzigen Abgang“.Probieren Sie den Carmen Gran Reserva Carménère zu würzigen Pasta-Variationen, Fasan oder Ente. Ein Hochkaräter aus den Ausläufern der Anden: Der Carmen Winemaker’s Cabernet Sauvignon Blend ist eine herausragende Kreation aus Cabernet Sauvignon (mehr als die Hälfte), Chiles Ausnahme-Rebsorte Carménère, sowie kleineren Anteilen Merlot, Syrah (Shiraz) und Petite Syrah. Das Bukett dieses trockenen Rotweins ist faszinierend vielschichtig. Es vereint Noten von schwarzen Johannisbeeren, Brombeeren, Pflaumen und Schwarzkirschen sowie von Blaubeeren.Die Trauben für diesen Blend der vielfach international ausgezeichneten Viña Carmen stammen von Lagen aus den Ausläufern der Anden im Maipo Valley. Das Weingut hat eine Geschichte, die bis 1850 zurückreicht und besitzt damit eine Expertise im chilenischen Weinbau, die die Basis dafür ist, Jahr für Jahr herausragende Weine anbieten zu können. Der Carmen Winemaker´s Cabernet Sauvignon Blend mit seiner intensiven Fruchtigkeit und Kraft ist dafür ein wunderbares Beispiel. 10 Monate wurde diese Cuvée in französischen und amerikanischen Eichenfässern ausgebaut.Die ideale Trinktemperatur für diesen Rotwein liegt bei 16-18 Grad.
