Aaldering Cabernet Sauvignon - Merlot

The Aaldering Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot has an initially intense bouquet offering notes of ripe blackberries and cassis. The wonderfully fruity bouquet is harmoniously complemented and rounded off by fine nuances of eucalyptus, cedar and cigar box. This blend, consisting mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% of Merlot, is elegant and powerful on the palate, with velvety, well-structured tannins.This is a high-quality wine from the Devon Valley in the Stellenbosch region. The grape varieties were aged separately and matured for 25 months in French barriques, of which 35% were new barrels. This blend has a good ageing potential of 10 to 15 years.You’ll enjoy discovering the Aaldering Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot with lamb, grilled vegetables and spicy dishes with green pepper or Mediterranean herbs. Aaldering Chardonnay Stellenbosch

The Aaldering Chardonnay has an intense bouquet offering notes of peach, lime and mandarin. On the palate, the white wine from the Devon Valley shows a lovely fullness, a creamy juiciness and a prolonged finish as well. This pure varietal Chardonnay consists of three components: the juice delivered by the freshly harvested grapes before they are pressed (‘free run juice’), the part of the wine which was fermented in second-, third- and fourth-fill barrels as well as the must which was aged in stainless steel tanks, making this blend a special taste experience.The Aaldering Chardonnay has a good ageing potential of 5 to 7 years. Aaldering Shiraz Stellenbosch

The Aaldering Shiraz is a wine full of elegance and complexity. It is redolent of dark cherries, raspberries, cloves and white pepper. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, showing a clear structure and a long finish. This Shiraz from the Devon Valley in the Stellenbosch region was aged for more than 20 months in French oak casks, of which only 15% were new barrels, giving the Shiraz grapes as much scope as possible to develop their great elegance. The rest of the barrels were second- and third-fill oak casks.This is a wonderful Shiraz with predominantly dark and spicy notes.
