Im lokalen Dialekt auf Sizilien bedeutet “Burdese” aus Bordeaux. Ganz in diesem Sinne ist der Planeta Burdese Cabernet Sauvignon Sicilia dem großen Einfluss gewidmet, den der französische Weinbau auch auf die sizilianische Weinbaukunst hat.

Das Bouquet dieses herausragenden Blends aus überwiegend Cabernet Sauvignon und etwa einem Drittel Cabernet Franc duftet nach Sauerkirschen, Blaubeeren und Pflaumen. Mit der Zeit auch merkliche Anklänge von Leder, Kakao, Tabak und Röstaromen. Am Gaumen mit einer tragenden Tannistruktur, großer Ausgewogenheit und einer bemerkenswerten Dichte. 14 Monate reifte dieser Rotwein aus Sizilien in neuen Barriques. Monica Larner vergibt in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate 91 Punkte und schreibt: „This is a dark and impenetrable wine that is packed tight with brooding dark fruit and thick aromas of prune and plum.
