In the nose, the Terre da Vite Colte d’Asti San Nicolao is intense and appetizing with marvellous notes of plums and cherries as well as a fine spice. For a Barbera d’Asti, this red wine is surprisingly mild, dry and medium to full-bodied with a wonderfully long finish.

This wine from the Piedmont region can be enjoyed now but can age for a few more years if desired. The Barbera grapes for this fine wine come from vineyards in the heart of Asti in the Agliano region close to Rocchetta Tanaro. The Barbera d’Asti San Nicolao has a long fermentation time and ageing period in the bottle, giving the red wine its deep colour.

Fiulot ist im piemontesischen Sprachgebrauch ein junger Mann. Damit deutet sich zumindest die Stilistik dieses Rotweins aus dem Hause Prunotto schon an.Es handelt sich um einen sanften und leicht zu trinkenden Barbera. Die dunkle rubinrote Farbe lässt vielleicht zunächst etwas anderes vermuten, aber der Wein ist jugendlich frisch und mit fruchtigen Aromen von Pflaume und Kirsche ausgestattet. Am Gaumen zeigt sich der Prunotto Fiulot Barbera d`Asti äußerst rund und ausgewogen.
