Giacomo Bologna Braida

Raffaella und Beppe, beide Önologen, sind unterschiedliche Geschwister: sie kümmert sich mit Elan und Scharfsinn um den kommerziellen Teil. Er, der Nachdenklichere und Ruhige, bevorzugt den landwirtschaftlichen Teil und die Produktion. Beide aber haben den gleichen Traum, den sie mit Enthusiasmus verfolgen: sie wollen für den Barbera den Status eines Adel- und Qualitätsweins erreichen, denn immer noch glauben einige, dass dieser nur den Reben aus Borgogna vorbehalten ist.

Der Wein ist für die beiden ein Lebensmotiv, die Art sich durch einfache und authentische Dinge wie ihren Boden zu verwirklichen. Dieses Lebensmotiv überzeugte auch ihre jeweiligen Lebenspartner, die in jeder Hinsicht Teil der Familie wurden.

Cristina, die Gattin von Beppe und Mutter von Greta und Giacomo arbeitet in der Verwaltung. Norbert Reinisch, österreichischer Arzt und Gatte von Raffaella, lernte auf einem Besuch in den Weinkellern von Rocchetta Tanaro, die er wegen seiner Liebe zum Wein besuchte, die Spitzbübin der Familie kennen und verliebte sich so in sie, dass er seine Heimat und seine Arbeit verließ und Handelsdirektor für den Export des Betriebs wurde.

Braida ist ein junger Betrieb, der von der Zusammenwirkung, der Konfrontation und den Enthusiasmen lebt, die die ganze Familie und das Team vereinen.
