Complex notes of pears and quinces, citrus fruits (grapefruit, lime), meadow herbs and white pepper characterize the bouquet of Dürnberg Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben. This composition from the Austrian Weinviertel region is cool and mineral on the palate, delicately creamy, with balanced acidity and a beautiful fruit melt characterized by pear notes.

The fresh, crystal-clear white wine comes from vines that are on average between 25 and 30 years old. Try the Dürnberg Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben with smoked trout, grilled scampi, calamari fritti, baked cod, grilled fish, roast beef or a Wiener schnitzel, for example.

Langer Abgang!Die besten Trauben von kleinen Wachauer Terrassenweingärten werden für die hochwertigen Rieden-Cuvées dieser Serie selektioniert. Von unterschiedlichen Lagen zwischen Loiben und Spitz kommt Grüner Veltliner für diese Terrassen-Abfüllung. Ziel ist es, einen typischen Wachauer Stil, geprägt durch das besondere Klima und den Urgesteins-Boden, zu repräsentieren.Grüner Veltliner ist mittlerweile eine international anerkannte Top-Rebsorte. Die prächtige Smaragdeidechse, die sich auf den Wachauer Urgesteinsmauern sonnt, stand dieser Weinkategorie Namenspate: trockene, dichte, komplexe Weine mit Wachauer Finesse ab 13,0% Alkoholgehalt und großem Lagerpotential.Eine nur händisch durchzuführende und mühsame Bearbeitung der steilen Steinterrassen-Weingärten und der karge Boden reduzieren den Ertrag auf unter 6.000 kg/ha. Grüner Veltliner Trauben für diesen Wein wurden Ende Oktober bis Anfang November geerntet. Nach der Gärung in Edelstahltanks bei kühlen Temperaturen wurde der Wein nach anfänglicher Lagerung im Stahltank kurze Zeit im großen Holzfass ausgebaut.Ideal bei gekühlter Serviertemperatur frisch aus dem Kühlschrank passt der Wein zu gebratenem Fisch und zu Fisch in cremigen Saucen, zu gebackenen Gerichten, zu Tafelspitz, zu Innereien und gebratenem hellen Fleisch. Schon in der Jugend sehr zugänglich, aber auch 4-6 Jahre lagerfähig.

This spicy Grüner Veltliner is wonderfully typical of this varietal. It is redolent of fine pepper and fruit such as quince and Golden Delicious apples. The wine is well-balanced, with piquant sweetness and acidity as well as a long finish. In 995, the city of Krems on the Danube was first mentioned as ‘Urbs Chremisa’. In its honour, the new premium wines produced by the Krems wine-growers are called ‘Edition Chremisa’. The basis for these outstanding qualities was created through years of preparation. The wine-growers produce the very best grapes from selected vineyards under cultivation conditions close to nature, with complex processing in areas which are often difficult to access. The grapes are picked selectively by hand in several stages.This wine has a high ageing potential. Another 1 to 2 years of ageing in the wine cellar will fully develop its power, which will be further enhanced under ideal storage conditions.

Dürnberg Zweigelt Falkenstein

The vines for the Dürnberg Zweigelt Bodenschatz grow on weathered lacustrine lime and clay soils. The soil is rich in humus, which stores water well. The fully ripe, healthy grapes are harvested at the beginning of October. After harvest, the burst grapes are fermented in tubs for two weeks initially. Afterwards, they are pressed and aged for five to eight months partly in 500-litre oak casks and partly in steel tanks, resulting in a complex, elegant red wine with a cool minerality.On the nose, the aromatic and well-balanced Zweigelt offers fine, spicy nuances, along with strong cherry aromas. The vegan wine is full-bodied, elegant and creamy on the palate, with fine tannins. Enjoy the Dürnberg Zweigelt Bodenschatz with meat dishes or ripe cheeses.
