Wonderfully varietal, spicy Grüner Veltliner with fine, fragrant pepper and lots of quince and Golden Delicious fruit; very well balanced with a piquant interplay of sweetness and acidity, long finish.

The town of Krems an der Donau was first mentioned as "Urbs Chremisa" in 995. The new premium line from Winzer Krems is named "Edition Chremisa" in its honor. The basis for these exceptional qualities was created over many years of preparation. Vintners supply the best grape material from selected vineyards under near-natural cultivation and elaborate processing in sites that are often difficult to access. The grapes are selectively hand-picked in several stages.

The Edition Chremisa Grüner Veltliner is a dry white wine with great ageing potential, which will only develop its full strength in 1-2 years and can continue to grow under ideal ageing conditions.

This wine matured for two years in oak casks. It shows dense fruit (black cherries, sour cherries) on the palate, with well-integrated wooden notes and velvety tannins.
