This red wine is a pure Tinta de Toro. This is the name of this special variety of the Tempranillo grape, which achieves unmistakable qualities under the conditions of the Toro region. Even the bouquet of the Pintia Toro captivates connoisseurs with its complexity. Notes of blackcurrants and cherries interact impressively with nuances of dark chocolate and coffee. Gutiérrez says: "The nose is very expressive, with bright cherry fruit." The wine is fresher than the norm in the region, with well-integrated oak, floral and perfumed.

On the palate, the top wine from Bodegas Pintia, located around 100 kilometers west of Vega Sicilia, is dry and intensely aromatic, with a medium body. The winery itself describes it as probably the "fruitiest Pintia" to date. Minerality, barrique aromas and fruitiness (blue berries) create an enchanting interplay.

The impenetrable pupur-colored Pintia Toro matured for 10 months in French and American oak (18%), with more than 80 percent new barrels being used. The grapes come from vines that are on average around 35 years old. Bodegas Pintia itself states that the bottled Tempranillo can be stored for up to 15 years and should be enjoyed at a drinking temperature of 18 degrees. We hope you enjoy it!

The Toro region in northwestern Spain is renowned for intense and powerful wines. The Matsu El Viejo is additionally equipped with elegance and finesse, reflecting the flawless artistry of winemaking with the Tempranillo grape, which is known as Tinta de Toro in this region.The Matsu El Viejo, which means ‘the old man’, is a selection of grapes from vineyards that are more than 100 years old. The vines in these low-yield vineyards are biodynamically cultivated. After the fermentation and the subsequent malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for 16 months in French oak casks. The wine was deliberately not filtered, thus preserving its full aroma structure. The Matsu El Viejo is a deep cherry-red in the glass with purple glints on the rim. It has a wonderfully intense bouquet of black fruit. Due to the ageing in casks, the Matsu El Viejo shows roast aromas and notes of smoke and spices that are wonderfully structured and integrated. On the palate, the wine is fleshy, ripe and round. The noticeable but fine tannins give the El Viejo a light sweetness. The finish is once again characterised by the harmony between fruit and wood aromas.The Matsu El Viejo is a typical accompaniment to meals, and stands up well to  hearty sauces and intensely flavoured grilled dishes. We recommend trying this amazing wine with blue cheeses.

Tinta de Toro is the name given to the Tempranillo grape variety in the Toro DO wine region. The San Román Toro, made from 100% Tempranillo, is an outstanding example of the red wines from this region. The exceptional winemaker Mariano Garcia has been running the San Román winery since the mid-1990s. Garcia is better known for his premium wineries, Aalto and Mauro. Yet it is here in the Toro region that the top oenologist Garcia produces particularly expressive wines. The grapes for the San Román Toro come from vines that are about 40 years old, which lend the wine depth and complexity.In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red color with a luminous violet rim. The San Román Toro has a refined aroma of black pepper, dark fruits, and a hint of licorice. Thanks to 24 months of aging in used American and French oak barrels, this dry red wine is concentrated and full-bodied on the palate. Subtle vanilla notes are accompanied by earthy and spicy notes. The finish is silky and long.Try the San Román Toro with beef or grilled meats. It also pairs very well with dark chocolate or hard cheeses.

Nur wenige Winzer reichen an das Renommee des Dänen Peter Sissek heran. Der berühmte Önologe hat den ebenso weltweit bekannten und gefeierten Wein Pingus kreiert. Die Hacienda Monasterio hat von Anfang an mit Peter Sissek zusammengearbeitet und so Pflanzung und Weinbergsarbeit ökologisch gestaltet. Der Ertrag wird bewusst niedrig gehalten um die angestrebte hohe Qualität an Traubenmaterial zu erhalten. Die Cosecha von Hacienda Monasterio ist ein absolut konzentrierter und mächtiger Rotwein.Der Wein verfügt über eine tiefviolette Farbe. Die Nase präsentiert sich mit einem dichten Duftbogen von Kaffee- und Toastnoten. Eingeschlossen von Fruchtnoten der Kirsche, Pflaume und Waldbeere. Nach einiger Zeit kommen Schokoladennoten und der Duft von Zigarre hinzu. Am Gaumen beginnt der Hacienda Monasterio Cosecha mit enorm viel Schmelz um dann zwischen reifen Fruchtnoten und ausgewogener Säure an der Zunge zu spielen. Feine Gewürznoten werden getragen vom stoffig, kraftvollen Körper. Im Finale zeigen sich Aromen von Lakritz und etwas Zimt.Dieser Rotwein verbrachte über 18 Monate in französischen Barriques, wovon etwa ein Drittel Erstbelegung waren, was unter anderen zur langen Lagerfähigkeit beiträgt.Genießen Sie den Cosecha von Hacienda Monasterio zu Rehrücken oder anderen Wildgerichten.
