With the Cerro Anon Reserva, the Bodegas Olarra estate demonstrates how impressive a Reserva wine from the Rioja region in Spain can be. The wine is an impressively brilliant crimson in colour and offers an extraordinary abundance of aromas on the nose. Floral notes of violets and roses unite with nuances of bilberries and blackberries. The bouquet is complemented by aromas of plums and cherries, along with notes of wood resulting from the ageing in casks. On the palate, the Cerro Anon Reserva is elegant, silky and round. The taste recalls chocolate, caramel and dried fruit. The tannins are slightly sweet and harmonise wonderfully with the fine acidity of the fruit. The finish is characterised by balanced notes of spices and a good length.

Die Farbe des Cerro Anon Gran Reserva ist rubinrot in kräftiger Ausprägung mit leicht orangefarbenen Reflexen am Glasrand. Der Wein duftet wunderbar nach roten Beeren, Gewürzen, Vanille, Pflaume und einer Vielzahl von Röstaromen. Am Gaumen zeigt sich die ganze Energie, die in diesem Wein steckt. Er ist erfrischend und ausgewogen, verführerisch und zugänglich. Die lebendige Säure und die wohl geschliffenen Tannine befinden sich in einer perfekten Balance. Der Genuss endet in einem leicht süßlichen Finale, welches in Länge und Frische seinesgleichen sucht.Der Cerro Anon Gran Reserva ist Bodegas Olarras Flaggschiff. Er besteht aus einer Mischung von 90% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo und Graciano und 5% Garnacha, die insgesamt 27 Monate in neuer und gebrauchter Eiche reifte. Danach wurde der Wein auf die Flasche gefüllt und lagerte 45 Monate bevor er in den Handel kam.

Barista Pinotage

A South African taste experience of intense, rich coffee and chocolate aromas with nuances of ripe mulberries, plums and cherries.This dry red wine is also the perfect accompaniment to food. It pairs very well with dark meat, creamy casseroles and even intense desserts. Also a great accompaniment to blue cheese or Belgian chocolate. Vinified ready to drink from the start for immediate enjoyment. We recommend 18 °C as the ideal drinking temperature.The Barista Pinotage from the Val De Vie vineyard is made from 100% Pinotage grapes from the Robertson region. The grapes were picked at optimum ripeness in mid-February and divided into different batches and treated in different ways.Certain batches were treated by short heating to optimize color and then returned to the skins for alcoholic fermentation. Other batches were pasteurized and immediately fermented on oak to achieve the dark, rich coffee flavors. Still other batches were fermented conventionally on the skins and pumped over several times during alcoholic fermentation and racked into French oak to complete fermentation. All batches were stabilized by malolactic fermentation in French oak.
