The Ernie Els Signature is the flagship of Ernie Els wines and stands for the highest quality and excellence from South Africa. This iconic blend of various noble grape varieties - such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot - is a powerful and complex red wine that combines the best characteristics of the individual grapes into a harmonious whole. It is also commonly referred to as a Bordeaux blend.

In the glass, the Ernie Els Signature presents itself in a deep garnet red with an almost black core. The nose reveals lush aromas of mulberries, cassis and plums, paired with notes of cedar wood, cigar, spices and fine coffee. On the palate, the wine has an impressive structure, with strong but velvety tannins and an elegant, long finish. Complex aromas of ripe fruit, chocolate, vanilla and earthy nuances make for a multi-layered taste experience.

In Golfkreisen ist der südafrikanische Golfer Ernie Els eine Legende. Das nach ihm benannte Weingut erzeugt unter dem Winemaker Louis Strydom preisgekrönte Weine. Insgesamt werden vier Kollektionen – Signature, Major Series, Big Easy und Proprietor’s hergestellt, diese verkörpern den beliebten Charakter und das gefeierte Prestige des Namensgebers. Das Weingut wurde 2005 offiziell eröffnet und konzentriert sich seitdem auf die Herstellung einer Reihe von Weinen, insbesondere Cabernet Sauvignon. Durch die jüngsten Renovierungsarbeiten ist das Weingut zu einem ikonischen Symbol der Region Helderberg in Stellenbosch geworden.
