The Compagniesdrift Chardonnay comes from the Compagniesdrift wine estate in Stellenbosch.

This fresh white wine from the Chardonnay grape has a pale yellow color with a lively greenish shimmer. The nose reveals seductive aromas of white pears, apricots and fine lemon notes, which develop harmoniously in the glass. On the palate, the Chardonnay impresses with its elegant fruit, fine creaminess and balanced freshness, making it easily accessible and versatile.

The grapes are harvested by hand early in the morning, gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The white wine then matured for four months on the lees, which were stirred regularly to preserve its fullness and structure. It is filtered before bottling to preserve freshness and clarity.

The Compagniesdrift Chardonnay is ideal as an aperitif, with light starters, salads or grilled vegetables. Served at 12-14 °C, it unfolds its full aroma. An elegant, uncomplicated white wine for social occasions or everyday enjoyment.

The fact that this grape can be found all over the world is certainly also due to the fact that it is very adaptable. But this is precisely what makes it all the more difficult for a wine-growing business. The Hartenberg Chardonnay is a positive example. The grapes are processed separately according to the individual parcels of the vineyard. Only at the end of the vinification process is the final Chardonnay blend put together under strict quality selection. The wine then matures for 11 months in French barriques.The result has been impressing wine critics all over the world for years. The wine has a wonderful aroma of white pear, tropical fruit, vanilla and roasted almonds. On the palate, these notes blend into a perfect taste. Lanzerac Chardonnay

The grapes for the Lanzerac Chardonnay come from the estate’s various vineyards, of which the oldest are more than 20 years old. The blending of the grapes from the different vineyards has a positive impact on the wines’ complexity. The yield is less than 5 tons per hectare (1 hectare = approx. 2.47 acres). In order to only pick healthy and fully ripe grapes, the harvest was carried out by hand. Subsequently, the grapes were again selected by hand in the cellar. After cutting, the grapes were cooled down to 59 °F and pressed.The wine was fermented in barrels, of which 70% were 300-litre oak casks and 30% were stainless steel tanks. After 9 months, the two batches were blended. The Lanzerac Chardonnay is full-bodied and distinctive, offering aromas of citrus, ginger, vanilla and clover on the nose. On the palate, it shows a noticeable balance between fruit, acidity and softness. The finish is creamy and long-lasting. Thanks to its wonderful complexity, the Lanzerac Chardonnay goes beautifully with smoked salmon, sea bass or paella with seafood.
