Benguela Cove Vinography Cabernet Sauvignon

The Benguela Cove Vinography Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Walker Bay region in South Africa, which is known for its temperate, cool climate. The vineyards lie on the shores of a lagoon that stretches out to the cold Atlantic Ocean. The foliage is tended with the utmost care so that the grapes can enjoy the cool afternoon sun.

This is a confident Cabernet Sauvignon with the typical aromas of blackcurrant, dried herbs, fynbos, salty licorice and a hint of leather. A seamless balance between fruit and acidity, underpinned by polished tannins. Ripe red fruits on the nose, which continue on the palate. Sweet notes of violets and a hint of dried vanilla pods with nuances of tobacco and dried tomato leaves add to the complexity of this elegant wine. The robust structure and expressive nose are balanced by well-integrated tannins and a lingering finish.

The Vinography Cabernet Sauvginon matured for 20 months in French oak and will continue to shine and develop richer layers for 8 - 10 years after its harvest. Enjoy this exceptional red wine with oxtail ragout or a chocolate fondant.

Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon
The Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon is a single-varietal top red wine from Stellenbosch in South Africa, vinified by star winemaker Abrie Beeslaar. The vines, which are over 30 years old, grow on weathered granite and Hutton soils and produce exceptionally concentrated grapes with a low yield. After traditional mash fermentation in open concrete fermenters and manual punching down of the mash, the red wine matured for 24 months in French oak (50% new). The result is a Cabernet Sauvignon of great depth, structure and elegance. It shines a deep garnet red in the glass. The nose reveals complex aromas of cassis, cigar box, cedar wood, laurel and fine peppers. Powerful and multi-layered on the palate with notes of black cherry, plum, walnut, vanilla and spices. Fine tannins, lively acidity and a long, elegant finish underline the ageing potential of this exceptional wine. The Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent accompaniment to grilled or braised beef, game, lamb with herbs or mature hard cheese.Recommended drinking temperature: 16-18 °C

The fruit intensity fills the mouth and finishes with salinity and an oyster shell-like minerality. Melon and white peach notes linger on the palate. Bone dry with a lemony acidity, this wine reminds you of the Old World as the fruit jumps out of the glass and reminds you where it comes from. Bibi Graetz Testamatta Rosso Toscana 2020
The Bibi Graetz Testamatta Rosso 2020 is an outstanding red wine from Tuscany. You don't really need to say much more when you hear the name Bibi Graetz in the wine world. You can simply rely on getting a super Tuscan that makes international wine critics rave about it. It's no different with this single-varietal Sangiovese from the 2020 vintage. Nevertheless, let's take a closer look - so that the anticipation grows.Incidentally, Testamatta means something like "muddlehead". There seems to be a lot of irony in this name, because you can hardly create a wine in a more planned and meticulous way than the team around Bibi Graetz in the small town of Fiesole (in the north-east of Florence) does.Graetz himself shows no false modesty with his Testamatta Rosso 2020: "This is the highest level of perfection ever achieved," he writes. He particularly emphasizes the strawberry notes and vanilla aroma, as well as an incredible freshness.James Suckling awarded the wine 94 points and described the bouquet as follows: "Beautiful, fresh aromas of sour cherries, orange peel and lemon shrub." Notes of plum and freshly cut liquorice also enrich the complex bouquet. On the palate, the Bibi Graetz Testamatta Rosso 2020 is dry, highly aromatic and wonderfully fresh. Graetz attributes the freshness to the new vineyards in Olmo, where the grapes ripen on a "magical terroir" at an altitude of 420 meters. Monica Larner, who awards 95 points in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, confirms this: "The introduction of these grapes (from an airy, high-altitude site) gives Testamatta its beautiful clarity, sharpness and sublime bouquet. The new Fiesole fruit makes up around 30 to 35% of this wine. The results are lively, transparent and fresh both in terms of acidity and aromatic intensity."Suckling finds these words for the palate: "Medium-bodied with firm, racy acidity and ultra-fine tannins that give the wine clarity and energy. It definitely follows the new wave of crisp, lively Sangiovese creations from Tuscany that emphasize drinkability and transparency. Lighter than past vintages."The grapes for the Italian red wine come from six different vineyards: Vincigliata, Olmo, Londa, Lamole, Montefili and Siena. The grapes were meticulously harvested eight times in the individual vineyards. The various components were matured in oak for 20 months. The result is the outstanding Testamatta Rosso 2020. No "muddlehead", but a lucky child who gets to enjoy a bottle of this Super Tuscan.

San Niccolo, on the other hand, is the name of a church located on the estate. The I Sodi di San Niccolo presents itself with a deep red color and an intense bouquet of ripe dark fruits such as cherries, blackcurrants and plums. These aromas are accompanied by notes of spices, cedar wood and tobacco, which give the wine additional complexity. On the palate, I Sodi di San Niccolo is both powerful and elegant. It is full-bodied, with sweet and silky tannins and a balanced acidity that gives the wine a great freshness and makes the taste pleasant and crisp. The wine has a remarkable structure and a long, noble finish. The I Sodi San Niccolo from Castellare di Castellina was fermented in steel tanks and then matured 2/3 in new barriques and 1/3 in used barriques. After maturing in the bottle for 10 months, it was finally launched on the market.Castellare di Castellina I Sodi di San Niccolo is an excellent accompaniment to sophisticated dishes.
