Mount Riley Pinot Noir

This Pinot Noir from New Zealand is redolent of black cherries, plums and dried herbs. These aromas of dark fruit are rather unusual for this winery. The Mount Riley Pinot Noir is accessible and elegant on the palate, with soft, nicely integrated tannins.

The grapes ripen slowly and under almost perfect weather conditions, thus providing intense fruit aromas and a wonderful, natural acidity. These are qualities that characterize the Marlborough region in the North of New Zealand’s South Island. The Pinot Noir matured for nine months in French oak casks.

You’ll enjoy discovering the Mount Riley Pinot Noir as an aperitif or with chicken, salmon, red meat and pasta varieties.

Mount Riley Wines

Black cherries and currants dominate the taste, supported by a hint of plums and forest floor. The grapes for this wine come from a selection of different sites in Marlborough. The grapes were harvested at optimum ripeness and only selected yeast strains were used for fermentation. The wine was gently pressed and transferred to a mix of stainless steel and French oak for malolactic fermentation and maturation.Enjoy Bishop's Leap with red meat, pasta dishes or grilled tuna.
