Die Trauben für den reinsortigen Sangiovese stammen aus den Weinbergen der renommierten Weinregion Montalcino. Die Weinberge liegen 175 bis 500 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel. Der nährstoffreiche Boden, die Lage und das Klima tragen dazu bei, dass der Poggio Landi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG weltberühmt ist. Nach einer natürlichen, spontanen Gärung reift der Wein für 38 Monate in 30 Hl und 54 Hl Holzfässern aus französischer Eiche. Danach reift der Poggio Landi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG noch für mindestens sechs weitere Monate in der Flasche. Der Rotwein aus der Toskana bringt hervorragende Eigenschaften für eine lange Lagerung mit.

Der Spitzenrotwein bietet in der Nase Aromen reifer roter Früchte, verstärkt durch schwarzen Pfeffer und Lakritz. Am Gaumen hat er eine gute Balance mit anhaltenden Tanninen und Aromen von roten Früchten mit einem Hauch von Gewürzen.

Casisano Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG, the name already tells us its origin. Produced in Montalcino, a small town in the Tuscan province of Siena, from the Sangiovese Grosso grape typical of the region. This Brunello comes from the Italian vineyard Casisano, which is surrounded by centuries-old forests at an altitude of 480 meters above sea level in the hills south-east of Montalcino. The soil here is rich in stones and galestro (schistose clay).This wonderful red wine was produced traditionally and according to the strictest DOCG rules. Maceration took place on the skins for around 25 days. the wine matured for 3 years in Slovenian oak barrels with a maximum capacity of 60 hl. After bottling, the wine was left to mature for a further 6 months.The color of the Casisano Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG is deep ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose reveals the elegant and fresh complexity of the fruity and spicy notes that are typical of Sangiovese Grosso. The red wine pampers the palate with rich fruit and velvety tannins. The finish is surprisingly long.The wine is the perfect accompaniment to game dishes, grilled red meat or mature cheese at a drinking temperature of 18°C.
