Bulgarini Gerumi Garda Merlot IGT 2021

The Bulgarini Gerumi Garda Merlot IGT is a powerful and elegant red wine from the municipality of Cavriana in the province of Mantova, in the heart of the morainic hills south of Lake Garda. This region, characterized by clayey and gravelly soils, offers ideal conditions for the cultivation of Merlot and gives the wine its characteristic depth and complexity.The grapes come from carefully selected plots and are only harvested by hand in particularly favorable vintages. After briefly drying the grapes in small crates, they are gently destemmed and macerated for around ten days. Malolactic fermentation gives the wine additional roundness before it matures for twelve months in medium-toasted oak tonneaux. Subsequent bottle ageing for a further five to six months ensures harmony and depth.In the glass, Gerumi is an intense ruby red with violet hues. The bouquet is broad and complex, characterized by ripe cherry, pickled wild berries and fine spicy notes. Aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper combine with hints of roasted coffee, tobacco and licorice, giving it an unmistakable profile.On the palate, the wine is warm, full-bodied and powerful, with soft tannins and a long, harmonious structure. The Bulgarini Gerumi Garda Merlot IGT is an ideal accompaniment to red meat, roasts, game dishes and medium-aged cheeses - a wine with character, depth and Mediterranean elegance.

With 40 months of bottle fermentation on the lees, this fine brut is one of the most elaborate and highest quality Lugana sparkling wines. It comes from the Azienda Agricola Bulgarini, which stands for fine, characterful wines with a regional identity.In the glass, this sparkling wine shines in a brilliant straw yellow with a fine, rising perlage. The nose is multi-layered with aromas of delicate white flowers and orange blossom with notes of apricot and peach. Fresh and spicy on the palate with a silky alcohol note and typical varietal notes of almond and hay. Pleasant suppleness with a lively perlage. Medium to long finish with a fruity aftertaste and a slight bitter note on the finish, reminiscent of the characteristics of the original grape variety.This sparkling wine is made from the indigenous Turbiana grape (also known as Trebbiano di Lugana). Fausto Bulgarini dedicated the Rosso Bruno Vino Rosso to his father Bruno, attesting to the fact that this wine is a sophisticated cuvée of the winery from Lombardy. This red wine is an intense red in colour. Its grapes ripen in vineyards with gravelly and clay soils situated south of Lake Garda. Its bouquet unites notes of small red berries, cherries, cocoa and liquorice. The red wine, which matured for 12 months in oak casks, is harmonious and soft on the palate, with noticeable but wonderfully integrated tannins. The Rosso Bruno has a prolonged finish.Try this Italian red wine with dishes with red meat, game or various ripe cheeses. It is a fine taste experience from the hilly Lugana region.

Ca dei Frati Brolettino Lugana DOC 2023

Der Cà dei Frati Brolettino Lugana besteht zu 100% aus der Rebsorte Turbiana, die auch unter dem Synonym Verdicchio Bianco bekannt ist. Es handelt sich dabei um eine Rebsorte, die erst spät, in der Regel Mitte bis Ende Oktober, geerntet wird. Das gibt dem daraus produziertem Weißwein eine hohe Alterungsfähigkeit und eine sehr gute Struktur. Die lange Reifezeit der Trauben bringt eine wunderbare Komplexität in den Wein.Die Nase des Cà'dei Frati Brolettino offenbart eine ganze Reihe von herrlichen Düften, die unter anderem reife Früchte, Pfirsich, Rosen- und Balsamico-Noten zeigt. Die bereits erwähnte Struktur wird begleitet von einer ausdrucksvollen Würze mit deutlicher, aber feiner Säure. Der Abgang ist klar und sauber. Der italienische Wein reifte für 10 Monate im Barriquefass.Der Cà dei Frati Brolettino ist ein trockener Wein und idealer Begleiter zu Pasta mit sahniger Sauce, Geflügel oder hellem Fleisch. Er ergänzt auch Hummer, Garnelen oder Langusten ganz wunderbar. Nicht zuletzt passt er zu dezenten Käsesorten.
