Neethlingshof Six Flowers White Blend
The Neethlingshof Six Flowers White Blend is a harmoniously balanced white wine cuvée from the renowned South African wine estate Neethlingshof Estate in Stellenbosch. This wine is part of the Short Story Collection, which is characterized by exceptional quality and a special narrative. The "Six Flowers" symbolize the diversity of grape varieties used to compose this elegant blend - a tribute to the rich flora of the Cape region and the estate's biodiverse philosophy. In the glass, the white wine is a radiant light gold with greenish reflections. The nose is caressed by a multi-layered bouquet of white flowers, ripe pears, citrus fruits, honeydew melon and subtle spicy notes. On the palate, the Six Flowers is full-bodied, fresh and structured, with a successful balance of fruit, fine acidity and creamy texture. The blend combines six white grape varieties, typically including Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Gewürztraminer and Riesling - although the exact composition can vary slightly depending on the vintage. Each variety is vinified separately in order to bring out its individual strengths. After selective harvesting, temperature-controlled fermentation takes place, partly in stainless steel tanks, in order to preserve freshness and primary aromas. Part of the wine is then matured in French oak barrels to develop depth, structure and an elegant texture. This combination creates a white wine with finesse, complexity and a long finish. The Neethlingshof Six Flowers White Blend is a versatile food companion. It goes particularly well with poultry dishes, fried fish, vegetarian curries or fine Asian cuisine. It also cuts an excellent figure with creamy cheeses and Mediterranean starters. The ideal drinking temperature is 8-10 °C to allow its floral aromas and fine texture to fully develop.
