The Domaine Anita Moulin-à-Vent “Très Vieille Vigne Les Caves” AOC 2024 is a top-quality red wine from the renowned Beaujolais wine region in France. Anita Kuhnel, a former professional cyclist, confidently made her winemaking debut with the Domaine and has been producing wines of the very highest quality ever since.
This classic Beaujolais is made from 100% Gamay grapes. The nose reveals wonderful notes of red berries, blackberries, black cherries, and spices. The palate has good structure, fine acidity, and expressive tannins, leading to a long finish with notes of berries, pepper, and dark fruit. We were particularly impressed by the very slight residual sweetness of the Domaine Anita Moulin-à-Vent “Très Vieille Vigne Les Caves” AOC 2024, which gives it a special appeal and makes it enjoyable to drink even now, while still young. All of this is underpinned by a lovely, subtle minerality. The structure is typical of a Beaujolais—very delicate and refined.
This sophisticated and nuanced wine pairs well with a variety of gourmet dishes. It can be served slightly chilled and pairs particularly well with game, grilled meats, or a selection of full-flavored cheeses. If you’d like to enjoy it today, you should decant it a little while beforehand.
