Der MontGras Quatro White ist ein erfrischender Weißwein, der von der renommierten Weinkellerei MontGras hergestellt wird. Diese Cuvee-Weißweinmischung besteht aus einer sorgfältig ausgewählten Kombination verschiedener Rebsorten.

Der MontGras Quatro White präsentiert sich mit einer blassgelben Farbe im Glas. In der Nase entfaltet er ein verlockendes Bouquet von frischen Aromen, darunter Zitrusfrüchte wie Limetten und Grapefruits, begleitet von tropischen Früchten wie Ananas und Melone. Dezente florale Noten und eine zarte mineralische Nuance runden das Aromaprofil ab. Am Gaumen zeigt sich der MontGras Quatro White lebendig und erfrischend. Er präsentiert eine ausgewogene Balance zwischen lebhafter Säure und einer angenehmen Fülle. Die fruchtigen Aromen setzen sich fort und werden von einer subtilen Zitrusnote und einem Hauch von exotischen Früchten begleitet. Der Wein hat einen knackigen, erfrischenden Abgang.

Das chilenische Weingut Viña Mont Gras liegt im berühmten Colchagua-Tal, einer Subregion des Rapel-Tals in der Zentralregion Chiles, 192 Kilometer südwestlich von Santiago. Das Rapel-Tal hat Anbauflächen von mehr als 9.000 Hektar. Sie sind im Westen durch die Küstengebirge und im Osten durch die Anden geschützt. Die Flüsse Rio Cachapoal und Rio Tinguiririca durchziehen das Tal. Es bietet ein unverwechselbares Terroir für die Kreation hochwertiger Weine. Die wesentlichen Rebsorten sind Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Carménère, Malbec und Shiraz. Hinzu kommen, in geringerem Ausmaß, Chardonnay, Viognier und Sauvignon Blanc.

Die ersten Lagen der Viña Mont Gras wurden 1993 in der gerühmten Peralillo-Region mit Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay und Sauvignon Blanc bepflanzt. Im Laufe der darauffolgenden Jahre kamen neue Ländereien hinzu. Nun nennt das Weingut mehr als 900 Hektar sein Eigen, auf denen auch Viognier, Carménère, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, Malbec und Zinfandel heranreifen.

Hernán und Eduardo Gras sind gemeinsam mit Cristián Hartwig die Väter des erfolgreichen und international häufig ausgezeichneten chilenischen Weingutes. Hernán Gras wird mit diesen Worten zitiert: „Unsere Philosophie ist es, chilenischen Wein höchster Qualität zu kreieren, der die Einzigartigkeit des Terroirs widerspiegelt. Obwohl wir auf moderne Ausstattung und Technologie setzen, sind es natürlich die Menschen, die den Unterschied ausmachen. Weine zu kreieren ist eine wahre Kunst, bei der alle Sinne gefordert sind.“

A wonderful taste of Chile: Four outstanding grape varieties compose this singular and distinctive red wine. Quatro is the outcome of a judicious oak aged blend that shows the optimum balance between ripe fruit and velvety smooth tannins, as well as the true characteristic of this particular vintage year.The blend from the Colchagua Valley has a deep ruby red with purple notes. On the nose a unique combination of ripe fruit, spices and floral notes given by each of the varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carmenère & Malbec), framed by touches of toast and cedar from a nicely integrated oak ageing.On the palate firm and powerful, with plenty of ripe and nicely textured tannins that give structure and silkiness. Loads of juicy ripe black fruit nicely combined with vanilla and toast from the oak ageing.

The straw-yellow MontGras Antu Chardonnay from Chile is classic and elegant. The grapes for this single-varietal Chardonnay are pressed directly after the harvest and filled into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. Fermentation is partly natural and partly malolactic. The 13-month maturation in barriques gives the Antu Chardonnay its special notes of vanilla, pineapple, ripe peaches and a hint of pear.
