During the 18 months of barrel aging in new French oak barrels, the wine is racked 3 times to get rid of lees, and allow some oxygen to interfere in the evolution and maturation of this wine.When the final blend is made, if the wine is totally clear, and has no microbiological pressure, there is no need for filtration or fining….so the wine goes unfiltered to the bottling process.Decant for at least an hour for better enjoyment, allowing the wine to open up.

The wine is elegant and has a very well defined character. The 5% of Petit Verdot is adding an extra element of complexity. There is an pleasant and harmonious marriage of fruit and the French oak. The structure of this wine will keep it for at least 20 years. On the palate, it is perfectly balanced, full-bodied and superbly voluptuous on the mid-palate with a rewarding, lingering after taste of mature grapes and acidity that reflects its superb structure.MONTES ALPHA "M" can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years (it will continue to improve in the bottle for at least 20 years).

A wonderful taste of Chile: Four outstanding grape varieties compose this singular and distinctive red wine. Quatro is the outcome of a judicious oak aged blend that shows the optimum balance between ripe fruit and velvety smooth tannins, as well as the true characteristic of this particular vintage year.The blend from the Colchagua Valley has a deep ruby red with purple notes. On the nose a unique combination of ripe fruit, spices and floral notes given by each of the varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carmenère & Malbec), framed by touches of toast and cedar from a nicely integrated oak ageing.On the palate firm and powerful, with plenty of ripe and nicely textured tannins that give structure and silkiness. Der Errazuriz Max Cabernet Sauvignon duftet anregend facettenreich nach Himbeeren, schwarzen Kirschen und Blaubeeren sowie nach Noten von Dill und Rosmarin. Am Gaumen wunderbar fruchtbetont, mit einer feinen, süßlichen Würze und balsamischen Tönen. Ein Rotwein mit eindrucksvoller Fülle, feingliedrigen Tanninen, einer guten Struktur und Persistenz.12 Monate reifte der Cabernet aus Chile in französischen Eichenfässern, wobei zu 20% neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen. Luis Gutiérrez verleiht diesem Rotwein in Robert Parker‘s Wine Advocate 89 Punkte und schreibt unter anderem: „In fact the palate is bone dry and has some grainy tannins, really pleasant and easy to drink. Very good typicity, value and it should also be readily available.”

Die Weinberge liegen hoch über dem Talboden auf dem Bergrücken des Hawkeye Mountain an der Westwand des Mayacamas-Gebirges. Der Nebel dringt bis in die gekühlten Weinberge vor, was täglich zu großen Temperaturschwankungen führt, die nur durch die ständigen Winde des Pazifischen Ozeans gemildert werden.Der dadurch entstehende Rotwein ist geprägt von tiefen Aromen von schwarzen Kirschen, Cassis und roten Johannisbeeren mit anmutigen mineralischen Tönen. Kunstvoll extrahiert, elegant muskulös, mit zähen, weichen Tanninen. Der Cabernet Sauvignon Jackson Estate Hawkeye Mountain ist voller Aromen von konzentrierter schwarzer Pflaumenschale, Zeder und Salbei.
