Zantho Zweigelt Burgenland

The grapes used for the Bründlmayer Zweigelt ripen in the wine-growing area of Kamptal, located about 80 kilometres west of Vienna. In the nose, the wine is spicy with lovely flavours of wild berries and toasted notes, complemented by a brief hint of pepper. The mild to medium-bodied wine has a relatively youthful tannin content. The Bründlmayer Zweigelt matured in stainless steel tanks and in mostly used Austrian oak casks. Zweigelt is a blend consisting of the two autochthonous Austrian St. Laurent and Blaufränkisch grape varieties and is highly regarded throughout Austria for its fruitiness and freshness.Enjoy this Austrian red wine with pasta, light game dishes and, in summer, slightly cooled with BBQ.

Dürnberg Zweigelt Falkenstein
The vines for the Dürnberg Zweigelt Bodenschatz grow on weathered lacustrine lime and clay soils. The soil is rich in humus, which stores water well. Afterwards, they are pressed and aged for five to eight months partly in 500-litre oak casks and partly in steel tanks, resulting in a complex, elegant red wine with a cool minerality. On the nose, the aromatic and well-balanced Zweigelt offers fine, spicy nuances, along with strong cherry aromas. The vegan wine is full-bodied, elegant and creamy on the palate, with fine tannins. Enjoy the Dürnberg Zweigelt Bodenschatz with meat dishes or ripe cheeses.

Pfaffl Zweigelt Sandstein
The classic Zweigelt exhibits just what this variety can achieve: fully ripe, cherry fruit, a compact body and plenty of power. Every vine is restricted to a minimum amount of fruit to ensure optimal ripening in the sun.Brilliant ruby red in the colour, a clear fruit and power in the nose. Full cherry with decent smoky tones and on the palate full and juicy. The crisp body of tannin produces a soft spicy flavour. A wonderful Zweigelt, which shows a strong body and great fruit. It is an ideal companion to Steak, as well as to pasta and pizza.

Manz Faszination Cuvée M Dry
The Manz Faszination Cuvée M is an exceptional blend in many ways. The very composition of this cuvée from Rheinhessen is a rarity. In addition to Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Cabernet Dorsa grape variety is the third component of this blend. This red wine variety, bred in Germany, was created by crossing Blaufränkisch and Dornfelder and is not yet widely cultivated. The bouquet of Manz Faszination Cuvée M is fascinatingly multifaceted. The aroma of blackberries, black currants, and blueberries is underscored by nuances of sour cherry. And that’s not all. The little feast for the senses is just beginning. Notes of mint, eucalyptus, a hint of green bell pepper, and pepper also enrich the bouquet. And finally, thanks to the long aging in barrique, notes of toasted wood and cigar box. The delicate minerality is the crowning touch. On the palate, this deep purple wine is dry, densely aromatic, and powerful. Fruity aromas of blackcurrants and blueberries take center stage, in a wonderful interplay with wood and chocolate notes. Prominent, ripe, and masterfully integrated tannins, a smooth mouthfeel, and a long, spicy finish leave little to be desired. In the finish, a delicate minerality returns, thanks to the limestone- and marl-dominated soils.Congratulations if you have the opportunity to discover this exceptional cuvée. Enjoy the Manz Faszination Cuvée M at a serving temperature of 16 to 18 degrees. This Rheinhessen red wine is a wonderful accompaniment to goose breast with apple-red cabbage and potato dumplings.
