The Catena Chardonnay combines the unique expressions of three high altitude vineyard sites. The La Piramide vineyard offers rich pineapple, passion fruit flavors and aromas with a touch of sweet honey with a rich mouthfeel. The Domingo vineyard lends notes of citrus fruit with floral notes and excellent acidity. The Adrianna vineyard contributes green apple, pear and fig flavors with a strong mineral component and vibrant acidity.

The wine shows a light yellow color with marked greenish tones. The aromas show tropical fruit flavors with touches of apple and pear as well as hints of cinnamon and minerals. The mouthfeel is full yet clean, with fresh, crisp acidity.

Bodega Catena Zapata gilt als Pionier des modernen Weinbaus in Argentinien und hat den internationalen Ruf von argentinischem Malbec maßgeblich geprägt. Gegründet 1902 in Mendoza von der aus Italien stammenden Familie Catena, wird das Weingut heute von der renommierten Winzerin und Wissenschaftlerin Dr. Laura Catena in vierter Generation geleitet.

Das Weingut ist berühmt für seine hochgelegenen Weinberge in den Anden – insbesondere die Lagen Adrianna Vineyard (1.500 m) und Nicasia Vineyard –, die dank großer Tag-Nacht-Temperaturunterschiede und kalkreicher Böden komplexe, elegante und langlebige Weine hervorbringen. Die Weinberge des argentinischen Weinguts Bodega Catena Zapata erstrecken sich in Lagen bis zu 1500 Metern hoch. Die Trauben für den Catena Malbec stammen aus verschiedenen Lagen und ausgewählten Parzellen der Mendoza-Berge. Sie werden von Hand verlesen und separat verarbeitet. The Kaiken Estate Malbec comes from the Agrelo vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, around 40 km south of Mendoza. The region's warm daytime climate and cool nights produce grapes with good freshness and aromatic fruit. The deep clay soils support a balanced red wine with soft tannins and a pleasant structure.The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in concrete tanks after destemming. Part of the wine matures for a few months in French oak barrels, while the larger part is matured without wood contact. This keeps the wine juicy and fruity, with a subtle spiciness and soft tannins.In the glass, the Kaiken Malbec is a deep ruby red. The nose is dominated by aromas of plums and cherries, supported by light floral notes. On the palate, the Malbec is fresh, balanced and easily accessible.It is ideal with grilled or roasted meat, pasta with strong sauces or semi-mature cheese. It is an ideal accompaniment to well-cooked steaks, but you’ll definitely want more than one glass when enjoying this wine on its own.It is a brilliant deep purple - almost black - in the glass. The spicy, fruity aroma is already noticeable on the nose, along with notes of plums, violets, pepper and tobacco. Hergestellt von der traditionsreichen Bodega Colomé, die zu den ältesten Weingütern des Landes zählt, spiegelt dieser Wein die einzigartige Terroir-Prägung und das Potenzial der Torrontés-Traube perfekt wider. Sein intensives Aromenspiel und die erfrischende Struktur machen ihn zu einem der besten Vertreter dieser Rebsorte.Die Torrontés-Trauben für diesen Wein wachsen in extremer Höhenlage von bis zu 1.700 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel. Die kühlen Nächte und sonnigen Tage sorgen für eine langsame Reifung und eine außergewöhnliche Aromenentwicklung. Nach der Lese werden die Trauben sanft gepresst und bei kontrollierter Temperatur in Edelstahltanks vergoren.
