The high-altitude vineyards of Mendoza are lined with poplars, or "alamos" in Spanish. They protect the vines from the harsh, cool Andean winds and give this Catena wine line its name. The Alamos Torrontés, made from 100% Torrontés grapes, is still a real insider tip from Argentina.

Der Colomé Torrontés ist ein faszinierender Weißwein aus den Höhenlagen des Calchaquí-Tals in Argentinien. Hergestellt von der traditionsreichen Bodega Colomé, die zu den ältesten Weingütern des Landes zählt, spiegelt dieser Wein die einzigartige Terroir-Prägung und das Potenzial der Torrontés-Traube perfekt wider. Sein intensives Aromenspiel und die erfrischende Struktur machen ihn zu einem der besten Vertreter dieser Rebsorte.Die Torrontés-Trauben für diesen Wein wachsen in extremer Höhenlage von bis zu 1.700 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel. Die kühlen Nächte und sonnigen Tage sorgen für eine langsame Reifung und eine außergewöhnliche Aromenentwicklung. Nach der Lese werden die Trauben sanft gepresst und bei kontrollierter Temperatur in Edelstahltanks vergoren. Verführerische Blütenaromen von Jasmin und Orangenblüte, begleitet von frischen Noten exotischer Früchte wie Litschi, Pfirsich und Limette.Am Gaumen zeigt sich der Weißwein frisch, lebendig und harmonisch, mit einer ausgewogenen Säurestruktur. The Kaiken Estate Malbec comes from the Agrelo vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, around 40 km south of Mendoza. The region's warm daytime climate and cool nights produce grapes with good freshness and aromatic fruit. The deep clay soils support a balanced red wine with soft tannins and a pleasant structure.The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in concrete tanks after destemming. Part of the wine matures for a few months in French oak barrels, while the larger part is matured without wood contact. This keeps the wine juicy and fruity, with a subtle spiciness and soft tannins.In the glass, the Kaiken Malbec is a deep ruby red. The nose is dominated by aromas of plums and cherries, supported by light floral notes. On the palate, the Malbec is fresh, balanced and easily accessible.It is ideal with grilled or roasted meat, pasta with strong sauces or semi-mature cheese. Serve at 15-17 °C; decanting is not necessary.Kaiken Estate Malbec is an uncomplicated, fruity red wine - perfect for everyday enjoyment.
