Vibrant Ruby colour. An aromatic introduction to youthful fruits such as various red berries evokes the taste buds. Simonsig

The Legend of Helios IGP
This well-balanced blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah boasts a complex bouquet with seductively sweet notes of plums and violets. These are complemented by a subtle hint of pepper and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, La Legende de Helios offers a delicate fruit sweetness. This red wine from the Languedoc is round and smooth with elegant spice. This cuvée brings the sun of southern France to your glass, which is why it is aptly named after the legend of the Greek sun god “Helios.”Enjoy this ruby-red wine from the sunny south of France with gratin dishes, grilled red meat, or medium-aged cheese.

19 Crimes Red Wine „Behind Bars“
This Australian blend, consisting of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, is redolent of ripe red and dark berries, along with fine nuances of chocolate, vanilla and cedar. On the palate, the red wine from south-eastern Australia is full-bodied and round, with a very fine sweetness. Its finish is supple and fruity, showing a sustained freshness. The wines of the 19 Crimes line recall people convicted of crimes in Britain who were exiled to Australia beginning in the late 18th century. In many cases, those who survived the journey across the seas built a new life there, thus becoming part of a newly emerging country.

Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet
The Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet from the historic Penfolds winery is a classic Australian blend that impressively reflects the house’s signature style. This blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon comes from selected vineyards in South Australia and combines powerful fruit, structure-giving elegance, and harmoniously integrated oak notes into an expressive red wine with an international profile. In the glass, the Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet is full-bodied and complex, with intense aromas of dark fruit. The Shiraz component contributes juicy, ripe notes of cherry and berry fruit, as well as a smooth, almost opulent texture, while Cabernet Sauvignon lends the wine backbone, structure, and finely woven tannins. The result is a balanced, full-bodied red wine with a clean profile and remarkable depth. The bouquet unfolds in a complex and inviting manner: ripe dark cherries, raspberry coulis, and spicy baked notes blend with subtle hints of bergamot, sandalwood, and exotic spices. On the palate, the Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet is powerful yet supple and well-balanced. Notes of hazelnut chocolate, savory bacon, toasted wood nuances, and a subtle salty spice add further complexity. The well-integrated acidity lends freshness, while the tannins are fine and velvety, giving the wine an elegant finish. The wine is aged in a combination of French and American oak, which lends it additional depth and a spicy structure without overpowering the fruit. The result is a harmonious, approachable red wine with international appeal and the signature Penfolds style. The Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet pairs excellently with hearty meat dishes such as roast beef, leg of lamb, or grilled entrecôte. It is also an ideal companion to spicy pasta dishes and aged hard cheeses. The recommended serving temperature is 16–18 °C, allowing its full aroma to unfold optimally.

The Simonsig Pick of the Bunch Pinotage has a dark red color. The aromas of sweet red fruits and cherries are dominant and captivating from the start. The grand finale then features notes of blackcurrant and velvety, silky tannins.Frans Malan, the founder of Simonsig Estate, presented his estate's first red wine in 1970 with a Pinotage. It is deliberately not aged in wood in order to emphasize the fruitiness and bring out the raspberry notes. Our recommendation: Enjoy the wine four to eight years after the harvest. Pinotage has a wonderful ageing potential. Your patience will pay off! The wine is a wonderful accompaniment to grilled food or ideal with Indian cuisine.
