Argentiera Poggio ai Ginepri Bolgheri 1.5 Liter Magnum 2023

The Argentiera Poggio ai Ginepri Toscana IGT is a characterful red wine from the Tuscan coastal region of Bolgheri that combines Mediterranean fruit with an elegant structure. The blend consists of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Petit Verdot. The vines grow on the red, fine-grained drift sand soils of Donoratico, just a few hundred meters from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The maritime climate and the unique soils shape the fresh, approachable style of this Italian red wine. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified separately. Alcoholic fermentation with maceration lasts about 25 days at a controlled temperature of 28 °C in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by malolactic fermentation, half in stainless steel and half in used 225-liter French oak barriques. This split is maintained during the six-month aging period. An additional three months of bottle aging rounds out the wine.On the nose, the Poggio ai Ginepri reveals intense aromas of red fruit, accompanied by spicy, floral, and balsamic nuances. On the palate, this Tuscan red wine blend is round and harmonious, with concentrated fruit, elegant tannins, and a clear structure. Its balanced combination of freshness, Mediterranean spice, and a soft texture makes it a versatile example of the modern Bolgheri style. As a pairing for hearty dishes, the Argentiera Poggio ai Ginepri goes exceptionally well with grilled beef, hearty sausages, spare ribs, and barbecue. This Italian red wine also showcases its qualities when paired with braised meats and Mediterranean dishes featuring herbs. Presented in a 1.5-liter magnum bottle with gift packaging, it also makes a stylish gift for lovers of Tuscan wines and is a special eye-catcher at social gatherings.

Bibi Graetz Colore 2016

This Super Tuscan is a world-class ambassador for Tuscan viticulture in every respect. Not only does the quality of the Bibi Graetz Colore 2016 stand out and will captivate wine lovers. What's more, the grapes for this phenomenal composition come from three of Tuscany's defining growing regions: Lamole in Chianti Classico, Vincigliata near Florence and Siena in the south. The pinnacle of Tuscan winemaking, united in one wine: Bibi Graetz Colore 2016.This Italian red wine is a blend of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 10% Colorino. The Colore sparkles ruby red with a garnet hue in the glass. The bouquet is fascinatingly complex. Notes of "pure summer cherry" dominate at the beginning, writes Monica Larner in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, awarding the Bibi Graetz Colore 2016 a whopping 96+ points. Over time, nuances of granite and dried blue flowers emerge. Notes of plums, blackberries and strawberries also enrich the bouquet. Everything is finely underpinned by a stimulating spiciness (rosemary, sage, but also cinnamon and a hint of leather and tobacco). On the palate, Bibi Graetz's Super Tuscan is dry, clear and perfectly smooth. "Full-bodied, very dense and polished, with a dense and powerful palate that opens up and grows while remaining agile and beautiful," says James Suckling, whose 98 points make it clear that few wines in the world come close to this quality. "This vintage offers an ideal dose of structure paired with freshness," says Monica Larner."After the great 2015 vintage, I couldn't believe that the quality of 2016 was even better," writes Bibi Graetz. As described, the grapes come from three vineyards in Tuscany, which were meticulously harvested (up to eight times!). In this way, the very best grape material was obtained, which forms the basis for the Colore 2016. The batches from the individual vineyards matured separately in oak for almost three years before the final blend was composed. A masterpiece of Italian viticulture.
