The Blueberry Row Pinotage from the Backsberg winery combines five generations of South African winemaking tradition with modern craftsmanship. The vines grow on dark, nutrient-rich soils of oakleaf and weathered granite, which create ideal conditions for this characterful grape variety.Vinification is gentle: the color is extracted during the first days of fermentation, the red wine is pressed early, aged immediately in oak barrels and bottled after 12 months. In this way, the Pinotage remains true to its typical character and is both harmonious and balanced.In the glass, the Backsberg Blueberry Row Pinotage impresses with its juicy yet smooth structure and aromas of mocha, cinnamon and wild blueberries, which reflect its South African origins.This fruity wine is a delight on its own, but also goes perfectly with lamb, spicy dishes or hearty Italian food. The Backsberg Chardonnay comes from the picturesque Paarl wine region in South Africa and is vinified by the Backsberg Family Wines. This traditional winery focuses on sustainable viticulture and gentle processing of the grapes in order to preserve the purity and character of the wine in the best possible way.This white wine combines freshness and creaminess thanks to ageing in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels. Peach, apricot and citrus fruits delight the nose, complemented by subtle vanilla and almond notes.
