The Backsberg Chardonnay comes from the picturesque Paarl wine region in South Africa and is vinified by the Backsberg Family Wines. This traditional winery focuses on sustainable viticulture and gentle processing of the grapes in order to preserve the purity and character of the wine in the best possible way.This white wine combines freshness and creaminess thanks to ageing in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels. Peach, apricot and citrus fruits delight the nose, complemented by subtle vanilla and almond notes. On the palate, it displays a harmonious balance of fruit, fine acidity and a hint of roasted aromas.The Backsberg Chardonnay is an ideal accompaniment to grilled fish, creamy pasta dishes, poultry and soft cheeses.
