Anthonij Rupert Syrah

The Anthonij Rupert Syrah comes from strictly selected vines from the Franschhoek Valley in South Africa. A pre-selection is made as early as the hand-picking stage. Only the best grapes find their way into the wine. Both the fermentation and the subsequent maturation, which lasts an average of 21 months, take place in French oak barrels. The Anthonij Rupert Syrah was then bottled unfiltered and matured for a further 2 years. The red wine has a wonderful aroma of violets, plums, raspberries and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is amazingly complex but extremely multi-faceted. Beautiful fruity notes are in harmony with spicy notes and a gently integrated tannin structure. The finish is also juicy, balanced and convincingly long.For a long evening in front of the fireplace or as an accompaniment to a festive meal, you will hardly find anything better. Open the wine at least two hours before drinking and give it some time to develop in the glass.

Cape of Good Hope Altima Sauvignon Blanc

The Altima Sauvignon Blanc from the Cape of Good Hope series from the Anthonij Rupert winery comes from the Elandskloof region around 15 kilometers east of Franschhoek in South Africa. It is a narrow valley surrounded by steep mountain ranges. The mountains provide the vines with plenty of shade and the climate tends to be cool. This results in a white wine with relatively high acidity and superficial aromas. This also has a positive influence on the ageing potential. The Cape of Good Hope Altima Sauvignon Blanc smells of green beans, cut grass, peppers and grapefruit zest. On the palate, it has a mineral note and lively acidity. The wine tastes of grapefruit, lemon and melon. It is a balanced, dry, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with a lingering finish.Try the Cape of Good Hope Altima Sauvignon Blanc with iceberg lettuce or cold seafood. Also ideal as a summer wine for the terrace.

Cape of Good Hope Basson Pinotage

Die Familie Basson gibt dem Wein ihren Namen. Auf dessen Farm werden die Reben gepflegt und bearbeitet. Nach dem Vergären in offenen Edelstahltanks wird der Wein für 14 Monate in Fässern aus französischer Eiche der 2. und 3. Füllung und dann für weitere 24 Monate in der Flasche gereift. Der Cape of Good Hope Basson Pinotage duftet nach einer Gewürzmischung und dunkler Pflaume mit einem Hauch von Leder. Den Gaumen umgeben interessante Aromen von Gewürznelken und pikanten Rauchnoten. Dieser Rotwein ist herrlich weich und mit sanften Tanninen ausgestattet. Das Finale zeigt sich fest strukturiert und langanhaltend.Der Cape of Good Hope Basson Pinotage ist geradezu gemacht für ein pikantes Essen vom Grill oder einen Wildschweinbraten.
