Eine Komposition aus 90% Cabernet Sauvignon und 10% Zinfandel vereint sich im Avalon Red Blend. Dieser Rotwein aus Kalifornien leuchtet im Glas rubinrot. Das Bouquet bietet intensive Noten von Kirschsaft und Feigen, dazu schöne Nuancen von Milchschokolade und Veilchen.

Am Gaumen ist dieser Blend, der schon jetzt und noch bis 2028 ein echter Trinkgenuss ist, üppig, mit aromatischen Tanninen (Karamell) und einem intensiven, lang anhaltenden Finale mit deutlichen Noten von reifen Pflaumen sowie unterschwelligen Tönen von Graphit und Estragon. 

Auch zu einem klassischen Schweinebraten mit frischen Bratkartoffeln eine gute Wahl. Tipp: Servieren Sie den Avalon Red Blend chambriert bei 15-17 Grad. (Chambrieren: langsames Erwärmen eines Weins auf Zimmertemperatur – chambre = französisch für Zimmer).

A „perfect” ripening season with full crop yields, and restrained sugar levels led to outstanding wines from Washington state’s Columbia Valley.Vintage delayed slightly by cool spring weather and a moderate summer, harvest began 10 days later than normal. Warm weather in August provided ideal ripening conditions for grapes across all varietals and harvest was quickly ramped up in order to obtain fruit at the optimum ripeness.Ripe grapes were destemmed and inoculated with various strains of yeast to maximize complexity. Gentle pumpovers during fermentation were used to extract colour and flavour and produce soft, supple tannins. Aged 16 months in American and French oak, 32% new.Delicious with bleu cheese, duck, beef, veal and dark chocolate.
