The Blanc de Mer from Bouchard Finlayson is a truly exceptional creation, as Riesling sets the tone for this white wine from the Cape South of South Africa. 67% Riesling, 19% Viognier and 14% Chardonnay make up the Bouchard Finlayson Blanc de Mer.

The composition smells of fresh pineapple and apricot, with nuances of lime and pleasant floral notes. Dry and silky smooth on the palate. With the seductive acidity of Riesling, the fullness of Viognier and the structure of Chardonnay. An impressive interplay of aromas, characterized by lime, gooseberry and white fruit as well as nuances of honey. The finish is carried by a slight saltiness.

The Bouchard Finlayson Blanc de Mer is a wonderfully complex white wine from the Western Cape province. The "cool-climate blend" from the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, not far from the whale-watching town of Hermanus, is a perfect accompaniment to fresh seafood. It is also a very good choice with a Thai curry with prawns and light dishes with white meat.

The success story of the winery in the Walker Bay region began in 2002. Creation Wines was the first winery to plant Viognier in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley, where the grapes ripen on the coolest, south-facing slopes. The slow ripening process ensures that the grapes gain aromas.
