In der Nase verführt er mit fruchtigen Aromen von Maulbeeren, Pflaumen, schwarzen Johannisbeeren und etwas Schokolade. Am Gaumen ist der Rotwein vollmundig und geschmeidig mit zarten Tanninen. Aufgrund der ausgefeilten Holzreifung zeigt er außerdem einen Hauch Vanille, denn 20% des Rebsaftes reifte für vier Monate in amerikanischen Eichenholzfässern. Der Abgang ist elegant und lang.

Genießen Sie den Paul Mas Cabernet Merlot zu Lammfleisch, Kalbsfleisch oder einfach nur zu Würstchen. Auch als Begleiter zu Weichkäsen und mildem Schnittkäse macht er eine gute Figur.

Der 100%ige Cabernet Sauvignon stammt aus Tälern im Languedoc. Das Klima dort ist mediteran geprägt, was zu runden und weichen Weinen führt. Etwa ein Fünftel des Weins reifte für 4 Monate in Fässern erster und zweiter Füllung. Der Rest wurde im Edelstahltank ausgebaut. The blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and a large proportion of Merlot comes from 19-year-old vines with small yields, but very high quality. On the nose Paul Mas Vignes de Nicole Cabernet-Merlot is elegant and wonderfully complex, with aromas of plums, red currants and spices. There are also notes of licorice and vanilla.More than seven months this creation of Domaines Paul Mas matured in (partially new) oak barrels. On the palate, the Vin de Pays d'Oc is beautifully balanced, with noticeable but mild tannins. The ruby Paul Mas Vignes de Nicole Cabernet-Merlot has a long finish with hints of chocolate.
