This typical sparkling wine from the wine-growing region of Alsace has a wonderfully multi-faceted bouquet offering notes of raspberries and hazelnut. It is pleasantly creamy on the palate, showing a sparkling freshness, great elegance, charming fullness and a remarkable length. The Bestheim Crémant d’Alsace Brut is a shimmering light yellow in the glass and has a very lovely sparkle.

The cooperative association of the Bestheim wine-growers impressively showcases what a Crémant d’Alsace should be. This blend, consisting of the Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois grape varieties, is wonderfully fruity. It is an excellent aperitif but also goes beautifully with warm starters or desserts.

The grapes for this sparkling wine come from vines which grow on vineyards with unique soils located in the heart of the Vallée Noble near the village of Westhalten at the foot of the Vosges Mountains. This is the home of many outstanding Crémants.

The Zenato Valpolicella is somewhat similar to the Bardolino; however, the Valpolicella is a little more powerful and shows a fuller body – it is simply of better quality. The wine consists of Corvina Veronese (responsible for the bouquet and the acidity), Rondinella (lots of sugar) and Sangiovese (gives the wine its elegance).This is a wine that can be enjoyed young, but another few years of ageing in the wine cellar will further enhance its qualities.
